Most on here have lost their marbles

Fahrenheit · 12/08/2011 00:42

Let me be the one to help you find them because you have all clearly lost them. As I always say there are no stupid comments just stupid people. Whenever I read the post I cant help but be reminded of the poster. Just last week I heard one of these posts. And who makes them when? I know those questions aren?t often spelled out here but they ought to be. And you all must take responsibility for understanding when.

Back to the salient point. Talking sense and being cogent and not asking when but where. Enough idiocy. Manner up and then maybe find the marble because at this rate when will be asked more often than why.

OP posts:

This has some of the hallmarks of Gabby (i.e. its complete gibberish) but Gabby tends to use a christian name in his nickname, and he doesn't usually go for loads of posts without coming back and insulting everyone.

I think Fahrenheit may be an entirely new phenomenon.

Love the optimistic last paragraph, where you claim to have a salient point Fahrry. Well done.

BrainSurgeon · 12/08/2011 11:34

How exciting, I joined after Gabby went so missed all that, glad to hear we have the prospect of "a new phenomenon" Wink

LadyBeagleEyes · 12/08/2011 11:44

Gabby is still very much around, he just posts under a myriad of other names but is instantly recognisable.
Not this one though, it's mad but just not gabbyish.

sunshinelifeisgood · 12/08/2011 11:47

its a mad thread alright but you have to be drunk to understand it :), I shall come back later after my night out and re-read it

I tried googling too!

You can put the text to the Turing Test

Interesting...

I am going to try that with one of Xenia's Gabby's posts Grin

WhereYouLeftIt · 12/08/2011 12:16

My first thought was Gabby, but there's no capitals.

But I do like "Manner up ... ".

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 12/08/2011 12:20

Can I be a bit of a pedant, please, OP? It's 'man up' not 'manner up' - the latter makes no sense (but hence does fit rather well with the rest of your OP). In fact, I think it was the only part of your post that had even the most tangential relationship to reality and logic as we know them.

Regarding my marbles - I have lived without them perfectly happily for many years now, and wouldn't know what to do with the damn things if anyone ever found them for me. Marbled cake, on the other hand - now that I know just what to do with, cheekeymonkey - sounds yummy!

WhereYouLeftIt · 12/08/2011 12:21

SDTG, I am planning on insisting that DS manner up in future ... Grin

Salmotrutta · 12/08/2011 12:22

And who makes them when?

Indeed! - who does? Eh? That's what I want to know!

picnicbasketcase · 12/08/2011 12:28

Before you even start to consider the question of who makes them when, you must first consider how they do it and why. Batter up, people.

InfestationofLannisters · 12/08/2011 12:41

OMG, the Turing test site was working perfectly until I entered the OP (the result of which was something like 79% robot as opposed to human) but now it's broken Shock

I quite like, "manner up".

Get a gripe, people.

TheMagnificentBathykolpian · 12/08/2011 13:11

ooh? you think it's a new one?

A New ONE!

Sharney · 12/08/2011 13:18

:) Oh and Izzywizzy, your lunch sounds lovely. mmmmmmm

michelleseashell · 12/08/2011 14:04

Get a gripe! :o

Is he a dot?
Or is he a speck?
When he's under water does he get wet?
Or does the water get him instead?
Nobody knows
Marbley man

omnishambles · 12/08/2011 15:45

I have a marble in my pocket and am still quite drunk from work lunch. is this in any way helpful.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 12/08/2011 15:47

Very, thank you omnishambles. Grin

Salmotrutta · 12/08/2011 15:51

I may be a wee bit hypnotised now after staring at the spinning marble on that link Amazing -

And I want the Teign Valley marble.

omni - yes.

TheJiminyConjecture · 12/08/2011 15:51

I found a marble in my pocket yesterday. Kept fiddling with it like a dodgy bloke on the tube Blush Grin

Salmotrutta · 12/08/2011 15:53

I used to work with a bloke like that many years ago Hmm

Pendeen · 12/08/2011 16:00

OP I have just wasted 5 minutes and half a (now cold) mug of indifferent coffee on this thread. Can I invoice you for my time?

I rather like the elf strands but am a bit suspicious of the marble. It's a wonderful material but a bit cold and austere for me.

boudiccasSideKick · 12/08/2011 18:45

I cant stop reading the OP! Wasn't in the best of moods today but I'm positively beaming now. Maybe they ate a few packs of Randoms whilst sloshing?
