An establishment like 'Hooters' is pathetic and wrong?

OP posts:
squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:39

she always seems to have inside knowledge of every issue she debates funnily enough....

Could that be because I dont waste my time posting on threads that I know shit all about.. unlike some. Grin

Pan · 07/08/2011 20:40

except this one eh squeaky? As has just been demonstrated.

squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:41

I notice that none of the baggy clothes apologists commented on my post about the millions that Hooters have raised for Breast Cancer research.... funny that.. it doesnt suit the agenda, so lets ignore the post..

BimboNo5 · 07/08/2011 20:41

Innuendo is acceptable and commonplace, hmmm im sure the men get chucked out if they say anything rude...Im sure Squeaky will have another cast iron argument against the employees handbook though

squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:42

Sorry Pan.. have you been in a Hooters? I may have missed your post.

EssentialFattyAcid · 07/08/2011 20:42

PR to make Hooters more acceptable squeaky

BimboNo5 · 07/08/2011 20:42

LOL I commented and said 'well that must mean its not sexist' Squeaky.

OP posts:
Pan · 07/08/2011 20:43

not ignoring it. Just a bit irrelvant. Sounds like a PR stunt. Needed money yes, but a bit of a slush fund sort of thing.

If it's true of course. Not everything you say on here has shown up well has it?

EssentialFattyAcid · 07/08/2011 20:44

Game over I feel

BimboNo5 · 07/08/2011 20:44

So because they donate money to breast cancer their name isnt pertaining to breasts, nor is their logo and there is no appeal due to the skimpy outfits? Is that what you are trying to say Squeaky because I just dont get it otherwise. Your post read like a 'well it cant possibly be sexist' get out clause

OP posts:
Pan · 07/08/2011 20:45

No not been in a Hooters - but then I know where I'd like my burger/wings from.

I susepct you know you have been outed.

squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:45

You also didnt paste the bit about "Hooters forbids harassment of any kind"..

It doesnt surprise me that you are unable to differentiate between jokey innuendo and banter, and open leering and letching. You have probably never experienced either.

Pan · 07/08/2011 20:46
squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:46

Outed? wtf are you talking about now... Confused

EssentialFattyAcid · 07/08/2011 20:47

Oh yes because women who don't approve of Hooters business venture are all ugly, right? Because what other reason could there ever be?

BimboNo5 · 07/08/2011 20:47

Oh yes ive experienced my fair share of leering and being touched and assumed im fair game by the kind of knuckle grazing morons who would think Hooters is an amazing establishment- because they like the wings of course...

OP posts:
BimboNo5 · 07/08/2011 20:49

Jokey inneundo and banter like 'ooh nice rack' as the waitress in a tight top brings out a rack of ribs and giggles at the witty gentlemans comment...

OP posts:
catgirl1976 · 07/08/2011 20:49

Leering and being touched is very different from innuendo and banter Bimbo. And no one is suggesting that the scantily clad women are not the main USP of Hooters.

squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:49

Sex Appeal does not mean sexist, or sexism.

I dont expect certain posters on this thread to understand that. They wont be happy until we introduce the burkha for any woman who may be considered attractive. Probably the sort of women who scowl across the office at the young secretary who dresses attractively and looks groomed, while they sit there knotting their armpit hair and straggly eyebrows.

And what if she 'giggles' because she just loves the attention?

worraliberty · 07/08/2011 20:51

They wont be happy until we introduce the burkha for any woman who may be considered attractive

Yep, aint that the sad truth!

BimboNo5 · 07/08/2011 20:52

Of course, my view also means I have hair to rival Bill Oddies beard and Denis Healeys eyebrows- wow Squeaky you just keep going up in my estimation every time you post!

well they do say there is someone for everybody Grin

squeakytoy · 07/08/2011 20:54

Well Bimbo, you have so far assumed my husband is a letching perv, and my best friend some sort of vacuous tart. I am allowed to make sweeping assumptions about you too. :)
