to be wondering (a lot) what Robert Plant's first date with Liz Jones would be like?

There's another thread open right now speculating about Liz Jones' 'rock star boyfriend'. RP's name keeps on coming up and I find it partly horrifying and partly hilarious Grin Wiser people than me seem to think it's definitely not him but it's still giving me food for thought....

Is she capable of talking about anything other than handbags and facelifts? How long before his lovely chilled-out demeanour cracks and he wants to put his head in the oven? Ooooh to be a fly on the wall..... Grin

Was the festival story a complete fabrication do you think? Because that doesn't point to Jim kerr. Why would young women be giving her mucky looks?

catgirl1976 · 03/08/2011 14:09

I thought that. Young women not likely to know who Jim Kerr is really, let alone be jealous?

catgirl1976 · 03/08/2011 14:10

But then would young women be jealous of any older RS? Can't see 20 year olds being Envy of any of them

katkitya · 03/08/2011 14:22

Ah, well some of them would know. I had a friend who only shagged men in bands and she's still only 25 now. If they work in the industry they have generally worked their way in because of the groupie in them. I would say 47 was her cut off mark although, as long as they were in a band she didn't care. Having said that don't 20somethings talk? Where is the bloody gossip? That's what I'm not getting.

JosieRosie · 03/08/2011 15:07

'In the spirit of the thread, I think LJ and RP's first date would consist of her serving a green salad (no dressing) at her place, which RP wouldn't be able to actually eat because he would be flat out being sat on by all the animals. On getting up to leave his velvet trousers would be completely coated in cat fur. She would think it had been highly successful because 'the cats liked him'.'

'It is probably one of her cats , she dresses it up in leather outfits and shaves it's fur into a mullet, then talks to it and makes up what she wants to hear'

These comments have made me laugh. A LOT. Thank you Grin Will never be able to look at RP again without imagining him pinned to a chair by all 500 of Liz's cats, too shocked and horrified to scream, and wondering if she's ever going to let him go home

Has anyone seen Robert Plant lately? He could be chained to a radiator in Liz's house.

It would be one of those designer, vertical ones in chrome that cost at least £2,000 and he'd be gagged with a Descamps towel.

She probably left him and the cats some dry food while she goes after Jim Kerr with an ether-soaked Eve Lom cleansing cloth and some duct tape.

JosieRosie · 03/08/2011 15:30

Ok,you've convinced me! Who wants to join the rescue cavalry for RP????

I am getting fed up of the friends of Lizard posting new red herrings all the time.

MAINLY they seem to be posting them on Mumsnet, but have also now taken to using twitter (in particular @vivienlash who is full of bullshit -- see my post on the MAIN \SlebTwaddle\rockstar thread) ......

I think they are getting fed up that Superspy Sharanski / Lady Detective Dangermouse (aka @Sharonimo99 on twitter) keeps dissing and dis-proving all their crap red herrings that they post !!!!

Has anyone else noticed, how despite that fact that there was already one very good thread on Mumsnet regarding the speculative identities of RS, in recent weeks 2 or 3 more threads have been posted, the latest in a different forum place .......?

THIS ONE:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/sleb_twaddle/1270771-Liz-Jones-Rock-Star-identity

AND:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/1271389-to-be-wondering-a-lot-what-Robert-Plants-first-date-with-Liz-Jones-would-be-like?

How clever to post the "new" thread under "Talk/amIbeing_unreasonable" rather than the original /Sleb Twaddle thread.

Do you think what I think .......... that Liz Jones with her well known dislike of feral children and mothers etc is trying to have the biggest online joke, and deliberately posting most of it on Mumsnet to see how many hormonal breastfeeding women she can get to believe in the fantasy (bullshit) rock star .........?

Ggggggggggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Angry

JosieRosie · 03/08/2011 15:43

LadyDangermouse - as the originator of the thread, I SWEAR to you that I most certainly am not Liz Jones!

I am a feminist (the real kind, not the kind that bitches about other womens' clothing and make-up choices), I have had no cosmetic surgery of any kind and I have never spent more than £15 on a handbag. My average spend on a bottle of wine is closer to £5 than £50. And I couldn't bear to live with one cat, never mind 700 or however many she has. I do fancy RP a bit though Blush I'm not a mate of LJ either!

All that said, I do accept my part in stoking the fire on here and fuelling people's rabid interest in the whole 'rock star boyfriend' saga. Come on, it's fun!

katkitya · 03/08/2011 17:31

Yes. Ldm maybe it is getting to you too much!! Or maybe we should all go back to the original thread that I started to continue from the last one. I'm enjoying this but the last thing I would do would be to go to Twitter or anywhere else. I would be scared that someone would see me!

LadyDangermouse · 03/08/2011 17:32

Josie Rosie: LadyDangermouse - as the originator of the thread, I SWEAR to you that I most certainly am not Liz Jones!

Oh, OK then Blush

It just does seem an awful lot of threads have been started about the vapid and nonsensical Liz Jones + the imaginary boyfriend recently ..... which gives the stupid, narcissistic, anorexic, self obsessed, rubbish hack more publicity than I think she deserves !!! Angry

LadyDangermouse · 03/08/2011 17:34

The daily snail would not publish her inane musings if we were not talking about Grotbags and the Fantasy Rock Star lover online so much ...... she seems to be serving her purpose as a "professional troll" Grin

katkitya · 03/08/2011 18:45

None of us actually buy the paper though, do we? So, how does the rag benefit?

limitedperiodonly · 03/08/2011 18:47

My name is limitedperiodonly and I buy the Daily Mail

GentlemanGin · 03/08/2011 18:48

katkitya, i think their website has the most hits by far of any newspaper. And it's not surprising given how often you see a link to some outrageous story.

This thread alone must have sent more traffic than a very trafficy thing

LineRunner · 03/08/2011 18:54

I was in the Sunday Mail once. In the financial pages. A friend of mine rang me up and said, 'Oh I'm just calling to commiserate.'

The shame..........

BreatheEasier · 04/08/2011 01:50

No need to send out the cavalry for Robert...he's been on the road with his band (and girlfriend) for almost three weeks now. In fact, they just did a gig in Berlin tonight. Also, by the by, Patty's hair is red and has a tendency to vary between light and dark looking depending on the lighting where she is...

Robert and Patty

Caught at record store on day off

End of Show in Russia

No way Robert Plant poses for this picture without getting some lol

Nice little feather charm you have, Patty

Seriously, this is getting old. It is not Robert. If he found himself sitting in the same room with that troll, he'd probably feign a heart attack just to get away. Don't know as much about Kerr but it sounds like he's still with his girlfriend as well. Why would anyone wish Liz Jones on either of these men?

solidgoldbrass · 04/08/2011 02:27

Maybe it's my favourite, (this link not terribly worksafe).

Saggyoldclothcatpuss · 04/08/2011 02:52

Grin OMG! Confused

katkitya · 04/08/2011 08:36

I daren't open that. What is it? How did Robert Plant even come into the equation in the first place? I hope she hasn't been JK's bit on the side without realizing it.

CupcakesandTwunting · 04/08/2011 08:49

Am snorting like a loon at Gentleman's Wash! Grin

katkitya, it's a bloke who does comedy songs. This appears to be one about washing his nob if he thinks he might get a nosh-off.

katkitya · 04/08/2011 08:58

At this time of the morning!!!!!

Thruaglassdarkly · 04/08/2011 09:01

Who the frig are either of them?

Taghain · 04/08/2011 09:23

What a sweet little song. It just shows that there are plenty of thoughtful men in this world. I really am laughing out loud.
:o

solidgoldbrass · 04/08/2011 09:25

Perhaps I ought to email that troubadour and suggest he does a song about Liz Jones...
