I went into toysrus yesterday and purchased an elonex etouch tablet pc. for DS1 and DS2 to use.

I set it up when I got home and found it to have a history which contained porn sites - therefore it was preowned.

I returned to the store and got a replacement.

I set it up and again have found not only a web page history of porn sites but downloads a well.

They are telling me they didn't know these had been returned as there is no record of them being which leads me to the conclusion that a staff member is using them.

So please if you buy this item please do check the history first!!!

My ex bought a brand new phone from carphone warehouse once. He got it home, took it out of its wrapper only to find photos on there that had been taken in store of various staff members suggesting the phone was actually used as a toy by the employees.

Our local TRus are a shambles, wouldn't surprise me at all if the staff were in the back "testing" the goods- there is never anyone on the tills.
Personally I'd have been tempted to take it back and offer to buy it at a hefty discount as it has been used.

Well, now I know why I always feel like I need a wash after I leave that store! I thought the bag check was bad enough............

I think that if the MD, after taking a personal call from a customer, does nothing, then they aren't going to care about an article in the local paper.

I think it's plain, from years of shitty customer service and a terrible shopping experience, that Toys R Us gives not a shit about anything that the customer thinks. And that shall be the way it will remain until they eventually go under.
