To think we should be able to hide posts by certain people?

Not sure if this has been suggested but anyway, there are certain posters I just can't stand. They never say anything bad enough to warrant reporting but I just always get the feeling that they are trying to get a reaction or deliberately saying the opposite to everyone else to get a rise.

I never reply, because I feel that would give them attention they don't deserve but they do annoy me. I read the posts before I see the poster's name as in sure many of you do and I think it would be useful to be able to just hide all posts by a particular person within a thread instead of hiding the whole thread.

So Aibu?

OP posts:

but that would just be a troll grading system. They'd boast about how many tomatoes they got, and that would be the aim of posting - to get as many tomatoes as possible. "ooo look how much I pissed off the uppity women, I win!"
Real tomatoes or it ain't worth it.

filthyfunkproject · 16/07/2011 19:28

True - ASBO's became a badge of honour - that's why the government got rid of them.

BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 19:28

True worraliberty, I meant to say!

Troll grading system! Grin Are people really proud of riling Internet randoms up? Mind boggles...

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 16/07/2011 19:28

Bupcakes you can call me whatever you want I'm just a tad picky regarding who messes with my name.

giyadas · 16/07/2011 19:29

actually yeah, when a certain number of people have hidden a certain poster, MNHQ goes round to their house and pelts them with rotten tomatoes.
See? theres always a compromise if your prepared to try.

BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 19:30

Ankle tags are a badge of honour in some towns here. Some lads go round with one trouser leg hitched up to display theirs Grin

filthyfunkproject · 16/07/2011 19:30
Grin
worraliberty · 16/07/2011 19:31

True worraliberty, I meant to say!

I must admit I scrolled back twice to see what else Maurice had said Blush

What about a smidge of tomato puree with a hint of basil for the mildly annoying posters?

WhatGoodIsThis · 16/07/2011 19:34

basingstoke's first post pretty much summed it up. very succinctly.

giyadas · 16/07/2011 19:34

no basil. smacks of troll apologising.

BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 19:34

I understand, hob. Wink

SinicalSal · 16/07/2011 19:34

Passata surely worraliberty, and Aldi brand ketchup for the plebs

worraliberty · 16/07/2011 19:41

Passata ketchup will ya? Grin

Glitterknickaz · 16/07/2011 19:42

Smart price chopped tomatoes in a tin would be cheaper.

BupcakesandCunting · 16/07/2011 19:42

Aldi ketchup isn't half bad, actually.

Maybe those grotty little sachets what you get in below par pubs? We could hoy those like little saucey waterbombs?

worraliberty · 16/07/2011 19:44

Are they vegan friendly?

We can't have a situation where the board gets taken over by vegan trolls because they're unable to be ketchuped.

Glitterknickaz · 16/07/2011 19:45

smart price chopped are, tin might smart a bit though

filthyfunkproject · 16/07/2011 19:47

Can't vegans eat tomatoes?

TiggyD · 16/07/2011 19:47

What's this thread about? I've got an external programme that doesn't show posts from people I don't like and as I don't like any of you, I have no idea what this thread is about.

A guess: Yes! parking in disabled bays is wrong!

giyadas · 16/07/2011 19:48

Glitterknickaz - do you plan on taking them out of the tin before the pelting? I have no opinion either way, I'll go with the majority.

worraliberty · 16/07/2011 19:49

I suppose they could eat them if they were raised in a stress free atmosphere and allowed to run gayly through open fields before ending their lives naturally..slipping towards the light surrounded by family and friends.

Glitterknickaz · 16/07/2011 19:49

In tin would be more fun Grin

giyadas · 16/07/2011 19:50

glittaknickerz - You hogged the joke in your own set-up Shock for shame.

filthyfunkproject · 16/07/2011 19:50

Ha!

Glitterknickaz · 16/07/2011 19:53
