The Non-Feminist Point of View

I have noticed over the last while that the Feminist section has grown over the last bit.

This does not surprise me, but I feel compelled to ask why this site has begun to ascribe to a sociopolitical ideology when it was originally a resource for parents.

I think that as a result of this discrepancy, non-feminist points of view should have their own section as well. I hope people who disagree with inequalities feminism has created within our legislation will be compelled to express themselves more often.

I don't see it as unreasonable. Since there will be disagreements on various topics, I just figure a non-feminist based section would be in order. This way parents have a choice that reflects both sides of the coin.

Unfortunately, I couldn't help myself; I googled it.

So that's supper fucked then........

Please, please, please MN, may we have a Misogynists' Topic.

We need somewhere to keep the mini-composting bin and the wellington boots.

There is a shocking lack of support for us non quilters. It is quite bigoted really. Yes if I raise it I just get shouted down.

Hang on Celadon, what about the traditional quilters? Sometimes you take things too far...

I have issues with some of the attitudes on the Feminism board, but they have every right to post here. If the feminism section is growing, that indicates that people are interested in what is being said there. After all, it's not like there is only space for a certain number of threads on mumsnet, so a growing feminism section isn't detracting from the other sections.

But apparently Jamez is only here to provoke and cause mischief.

Pagwatch · 01/07/2011 13:45

Can we have an anti non-feminist section?

Continuum · 01/07/2011 14:34

As long as there's a pro-anti-non-feminist section for the men.

Hullygully · 01/07/2011 14:35

Oooo

Ormirian · 01/07/2011 14:40

How about proto-feminist?

Hullygully · 01/07/2011 14:43

Jamez is my new love. I want to pop in my pocket and listen to his wee ranty views while I swing on my swing and eat toffee poppets.

Pagwatch · 01/07/2011 14:43

I am not keen on that continuum. I would be anti a pro-anti-non-feminist section.

Pagwatch · 01/07/2011 14:44

You can have jamez.
Mdowell and I had chemistry.
