Is poss her own guilt at work, sovery?

TheStallionOfSensibleness · 19/06/2011 13:44

keep your sodding breaastfeeding shit in the breastfeeding section

hightrees · 19/06/2011 13:44

I ignore it btw. And change the subject. I don't espesh want to discuss any of it with her - or mil - both of whom are great believers in ff. (Both 70 years old) I mean, there's really no point.

hightrees · 19/06/2011 13:52

Wow Stallion, who pissed in your (no doubt) ff cornflakes. This is a section asking for opinions on a b/f vid.

hightrees · 19/06/2011 13:55

Sorry Stallion - you are the sensible one, so I'm sure not. Peace out.

belgo · 19/06/2011 13:58

Stallion - the word 'breastfeeding' in the title is a big clue - if you don't want to see the thread, then you can hide it.

zumm · 19/06/2011 14:29

B/feeding is not sexy but is best for baby. For soooo many reasons. Since most people on here have access to info, you all know this. Including, of course, those who get all cranky and defend ff. That said, if you want to ff then you have your reasons and the choice. There's no need to attack b/fers. Get over it.

I WOULD NOT BREAST FEED A VIDEO SORRY

BoscoIsMyLover · 19/06/2011 16:10

Zumm no one is attacting bf'ers...in fact the point is that the video attacts people who ff...it also associates bf'ing with sexy which makes no sense (and neither does Brian Belo-he may have had a task in the BB house but that was years ago, he is no mere relevant than Jimmy Saville..)

BF V FF is always going to get people talking, but as someone pointed out, where is the link to the NCT? The bf advice on Virginia Howes website???In fact I may email the NCT to see whether this support that is alleged is correct.

Gabby I think I love you......

BornSicky · 19/06/2011 17:44

gabby that's brilliant! thank you.

boobilicous · 27/06/2011 13:10

Regarding the video itself?.its listed under comedy so its obviously not meant to be taken too seriously. We watch comic relief on telly and that often uses cheeky stuff with a serious message to make us laugh so I certainly don?t see it as sexual or bad in any way?.its just plain funny. It seems like they are taking the p* out of sexy

The breast v bottle argument is completely different. The bottle feeding message is certainly winning the race. On Daybreak last week someone said we are constantly bombarded with breastfeeding advise in hospitals and from midwives and that true BUT they will never compete with the Aptamil and SMA companies, bombardment advertising forced into our homes every night on TV ?supporting baby from within? hahahha

BUT I totally agree it a mum?s choice. ( I am not talking about mums who want to breastfeeding and have problems and give up for I feel sorry for those women who have tried so hard) But for women who CHOOSE to bottle feed. We know that breast is best and formula comes with risks ( all the stuff about obesity etc etc etc) to babies health but they OUR risks to take if we want to.

Utterly udderly ridiculous - why on earth try and sexualise breastfeeding - the women in this film just look stupid. Breastfeeding is about giving the best start to your baby (both emotionally and nutritionally) and is something to be respected and be respectful about. Be proud about it, sure, but I don't think that this is the right way to portray it.

(and this is from a mum who didn't BF either of her children).

Oh goodness - don't be so precious.

What's wrong with pointing out that bf mums can be sexy?

For goodness sake - it's the only time in my life I've ever had breasts worthy of a second look.
