sound so over produced that they sound way more poppy than 'real' rock like black sabbath Grin

sort of girly rock

PersonalClown · 11/06/2011 20:21

Ahhhh nice to see the rockers still here!

squeakytoy · 11/06/2011 20:26

I did thanks Cymar and have replied :)

GingerWrath · 11/06/2011 20:27

Thank you Cymar. Been kinda crazy the last couple of days but has kept me amused!

Cymar · 11/06/2011 20:31

We usually do make up for lack of height Ginger. It's usually the small quiet ones people watch out for Grin.

GingerWrath · 11/06/2011 20:33

Pretty bad when my 4 yo dd is only 16" shorter than me though...but we did have a funny incident when she was headbanging in the back of the car at 11 months to Metallica Battery and it amused other motorists!

squeakytoy · 11/06/2011 20:35

I am only 5ft 1" but it is a great advantage at gigs, as the blokes never mind me squeezing my way to the front of the mosh pit.

I have banned my husband from standing near me as he goes all protective if anyone bumps into me.... spoils all my fun! Grin

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 20:36

I don't think I have ever heard anything by 30seconds tbh, but have loved Jared for a long time . I'm also jealous of all those at download, I love system of a down, went to download in 2003 when pg with dd, was fab, people were lovely, another pg lay even offered me her inflatable seat for a bit.

I a have fallen out of the loop wrt music since having 3 children Sad, we used to go to loads of gigs, but we don't have a babysitter and I don't know anyone other than dp to go with.

Cymar · 11/06/2011 20:36

Hope you have a good time over here Squeaky. It's not a bad wee place Northern Ireland.

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 20:37

Lady not lay Blush

PersonalClown · 11/06/2011 20:40

Just to prove that you are never too old or young to rock out!!

GingerWrath · 11/06/2011 20:40

Always found tall people at gigs really tolerant of me pushing in Grin BoiledFrog I get Kerrang! mag every week and also listen to Kerrang! radio.

PersonalClown · 11/06/2011 20:42

Oh thank god someone still reads Kerrang besides me. I'm 32 and get funny looks when I buy it!Grin

GingerWrath · 11/06/2011 20:46

What PersonalClown? It's 30 years old this year. I prefer the old Pandora but hey, Classic Rock is also a good mag.

PersonalClown · 11/06/2011 20:50

Might be the same reasons I get funny looks when I dye my hair purple, wear my big chunky Madfish boots or just generally embrace the rock Goddess.Grin

It's even more fun as my family are card carrying chavs 'normal'.

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 20:52

That is hilarious Personalclown, my ds2 would scream his freaking head if I did that.

Cymar · 11/06/2011 20:53

Bet she'll be in the mosh-pit by the age of 5yo Ginger Wink. DS and DD are the same. They've already been asking to go to concerts.

All in all DH and I have been to see Mettallica, Iron Maiden, Guns 'N' Roses (all last year), Alice Cooper, Def Leppard and Thin Lizzy (Tuesday just passed) and we're going tomorrow night to see Journey and Foreigner. We really wanted to go see all those bands because it could be that they may retire later next year, so we wouldn't get to see them live again. Would love to see Avenged Sevenfold and Dragonforce live if they decided to do a gig at the Odyssey in Belfast (our usual place for gigs).

Judas Priest are doing a gig in Glasgow this year.

Henwelly · 11/06/2011 20:54

Anyone remember Puddle of Mudd - I really like them but they were a bit of a one album wonder!

I have a really diverse music taste and tbh think there is a place for everything if it makes you feel something and sounds good to you!

I also think we could use some new music Genres as some things just dont seem to fit.

I love the Foo Fighters and am completely gutted I will miss out on the tour this year Sad on a plus note I did get Take That tickets - I know most of you think their names should never be mentioned in the same sentence, I said my taste was diverse!!

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 20:54

*off fgs, what is up with my typing.

Henwelly · 11/06/2011 20:55

Too many 'I's!!! Blush

PersonalClown · 11/06/2011 20:56

I LOVED Puddle of Mudd. Blurry is fab but I do have a soft spot of singing She Hates Me rather loudly!

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 20:56

I remember Puddle of Mudd, they were a bit dour weren't they.

What was that band called that was really doomy and miserable, I really liked them, the lead singer died not that long ago, it's getting on my nerves now.

PersonalClown · 11/06/2011 20:57

Just because they are so underrated and because I think Ville is one of the most beautiful men on the planet.

Cymar · 11/06/2011 20:59

Ahahahahahahaha. That's a crackin video PersonalClown. F*ing hilarious Grin.

BoiledFrog · 11/06/2011 20:59

For some reason I thought the lead singer of Puddle of mudd, was a fat bald bloke, I do remember them but think I'm getting them mixed up with another band Confused Grin.

squeakytoy · 11/06/2011 20:59

He is quite pretty, in a Michael Hutchence sort of way..
