I'm sorry. I believe it may have re-homed itself from my apple tree prunings today.

BooyHoo · 03/06/2011 23:21

i agree, whoever owned the monster spider that crawled into bed with me on wednesday can come and retrieve the remnants from my bathroom bin.

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:23

Have convinced myself it has crawled up my pj pants now!!! Ooh the horror. Will be posting leaflets through all the houses in the street tomorrow outlining the importance of responsible spidering. (new word - spidering).

YABU.

MillyR · 03/06/2011 23:27

Look, just because my house is a bit unkempt does not mean I have taken on ownership of the spiders who live here.

I once had a nasty shock when I moved the piano, and saw in the dust the most hideous six inch long clawed beast nestling in the dust.

It turned out to be a child's plastic lobster.

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:28

MillyR - FGS you can't even control a plastic lobster. tut tut. Grin

The thing is, you can't train spiders like you can dogs. You can put down litter trays all you like, but the fact is, they just choose to run around the neighbours' geranium beds, and there's nothing you can do about it.

On the plus side, they're quite independent and catch their own food.

madhattershouse · 03/06/2011 23:29

take you need to pop into Vals smoking shed..she has lights and everything Grin

LineRunner · 03/06/2011 23:30

I have been counting the spiders in my garden. They are all accounted for. That's a relief.

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:30

and i am just hearing about said smoking shed NOW! I have already booked the therapy to get over being toe poked by a random untrained spider!

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:31

Take Note People - LINERUNNER is a responsible spiderator.

Salmotrutta · 03/06/2011 23:31

Booyhoo - Shock - I would quite literally have fainted.
A spider in the bed!!!
I was bad enough the other day when a big hairy sod was slumbering on the cornice. I had to keep a vigilant eye on it in case it ran away and hid Shock

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:31

have had a nice giggle at spiders having litter trays!!

OP posts:
MillyR · 03/06/2011 23:32

We once found a toad in the house. It was in a bucket of coal.

Salmotrutta · 03/06/2011 23:32

Yeah but, no but, yeah but..... Linerunner applies wart remedy irresponsibly (apparently). Grin

LineRunner · 03/06/2011 23:32

I'm missing a very small slug, though. Answers to the name of Ryan.

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:33

Um....a slug was trodden on last night (in socks he didnt suffer..)

OP posts:
Salmotrutta · 03/06/2011 23:34

I have Ryan - he's nestling on my porch door. I gave him lettuce.

TakeMeDrunkImHome · 03/06/2011 23:34

There was a posse of other slugs slowly approaching wearing tin hats, I believe he had lost 3 brothers...

OP posts:
LineRunner · 03/06/2011 23:34

Salmotrutta I swear the wart freezer did not involve children and animals. Or insects or arachnids.

Salmotrutta · 03/06/2011 23:35

BooyHoo · 03/06/2011 23:35
