I know, I know, show business is brutal, I should get a life.

I just feel for her, it must be so horrible despite the truck loads of cash.

I can't believe anyone ever thought she'd translate to over there, she seems so untransportable.

'over paid idiot with an inflated sense of self importance'

You may not have said you wanted her taking down a peg or two but imo you showed obvious glee at the notion she has.

noddyholder · 01/06/2011 16:47

Yes I find her and her violent racist streak quite objectionable considering a lot of little girls admire her. My brother is a film producer and worked on a few of their videos and said the blond one was stunning and cc was quite plain irl but I have never seen her. I think a lot of these tv celebs are over paid and not particularly talented and I do think eventually the tide turns on most of them. Look at Katie Price. There must be better role models for young girls

TootTootLick · 01/06/2011 17:30

the blond one was stunning and cc was quite plain irl but I have never seen her

Oh well she deserved it then! Do you always judge people on how good looking they are, or are in comparison to their friends and collegues?

Not jealous? . . . My arse you aren't jealous!

I think calling her a racist is harsh if she wasn't convicted for that. I mean I wasn't there to witness what happened, anything is possible. And if she were really racist would she marry Ashley Cole? It seems unlikely somehow.

I honestly don't get the jealous bit. Please explain why any one would be? I have never been jealous of another woman in my life and have some lovely and very beautiful and successful friends. People always churn that out its odd and perpetuates the myth of competitive women sad really. Some people like certain celebs and some don't I don't like her or dislike her as I say like you I don't know her but am not keen on her public persona

MrsFruitcake · 01/06/2011 19:39

I don't get it either Noddy - do I aspire to be a failed WAG? Do I want to be a celeb? Do I want millions in the bank? The answer to all of these is no.

Why do you think I am jealous? I really am not - my life compared to hers is just peachy - loving DH, gorgeous kids, my own business and am getting by. There really is nothing to be jealous of - if I wanted any of what she has, which I don't, I'd be out there getting it for myself! Grin

valiumbandwitch · 01/06/2011 19:45

Well I'm a single parent without a pot to piss in, so I suppose I envy her her money, but I don't think that fame and money protect you from being humiliated and rejected, and I can't understand why people are so heartless. So, you're not a fan? fine. But you're a human being... never been rejected? never felt humiliated? never lost out on a job to a 'rival' .............

MoreCrackThanHarlem · 01/06/2011 19:53

I don't think you are jealous.
I just don't understand people who relish the downfall of others.

You also make derogatory comments wrt her appearance

' My brother is a film producer and worked on a few of their videos and said the blond one was stunning and cc was quite plain irl'

' scrub teh gloss off and she is rough!'

You talk about how damaging the myth of competitive women is, then perpetuate it with smug comments about 'being taken down a peg'
As far as I gather from your posts your issues are
?she is overpaid
?she is an idiot
?she is unattractive
?she is racist (despite the fact she was not convicted of any racist crime)

noddyholder · 01/06/2011 20:45

TootTootLick · 02/06/2011 08:13

relish the downfall of others

Sums it up really

noddyholder · 02/06/2011 09:04

I absolutely do not relish the downfall of others but I just don,t care either way. As someone in the papers said yesterday she is an icon for a shallow generation brilliant! Hiding thread now as am having a lovely day with dp in the sun and switching my iPad off Have a nice day ladies and don.t worry about Cheryl I doubt she gives any of our lives a second thought Smile

Animation · 02/06/2011 09:15

I assumed that all this was meant to happen - so that X Factor would be on the front of news papers every day. I still expect Cheryl to turn up for the auditions at the last hour - as probably planned by Simon and her all along. I NEVER thought her doing the US version was for real - and to me that would be a de-motation for her. The UK show is the happening place and that's where she's good!

demisemiquaver · 04/06/2011 02:36

save your sympathies for some of the v. vulnerable folk who get ridiculed on the program

GetOrf · 04/06/2011 02:39

I totally agree animation

I think the whole thing is contrived.
