to wonder why some mnetters are so rude??

New to mumsnet (and mothering!) and shocked by the contents of some of the threads. Swearing/ bullying etc. But at baby groups people usually seem friendly and aren't swearing and cursing or being overly agressive. So - are the agressive types like that in RL or is it just a front for mnet?? And if it's just a front - why?

If you get 75,000 people together, you will, I promise you, find some rude people among them.

Why do you expect that mumsnet would be different?

Rude people exist. There is nowhere that you can expect that you cannot find them.

However, most people on mumsnet are lovely.

But, I will be honest with you, it is a place where people do swear. and are blunt, and will say things you may not want to hear.

I love it. However, not everyone is the same. Many people don't like it.
