AIBU?

to wonder why some mnetters are so rude??

New to mumsnet (and mothering!) and shocked by the contents of some of the threads. Swearing/ bullying etc. But at baby groups people usually seem friendly and aren't swearing and cursing or being overly agressive. So - are the agressive types like that in RL or is it just a front for mnet?? And if it's just a front - why?

and you are doing it now -- shut up about this or we'll be nasty

exactly as before

AgentZigzag · 10/05/2011 20:46

'and you are doing it now -- shut up about this or we'll be nasty'

Who's that to gooseberry?

You ought to say the posters name if you're talking to them perhaps?

mylovelymonster · 10/05/2011 20:47

Agent - what the feck is this all about? Looks like a lynching if you ask me, which you're not. What right do you have to chase someone off MN?

Gooseberrybushes · 10/05/2011 20:47

Oh, ok that was to piazza and hell

zz - I said - not everyone is like that, very few are like that in fact, that was the first time I would call something actually "bullying"

have had loads of arguments but not that

mylovelymonster · 10/05/2011 20:48

If you can't get on then why don't you just give each other a wide berth?

AgentZigzag · 10/05/2011 20:51

WTF are you on about mylovelymonster?

Please let me in on it.

Who's lynching who?

Who's not doing any lynching?

Who's chasing who off MN?

Is that possible?

I don't think anyone but MNHQ can decide posters can't post.

mylovelymonster · 10/05/2011 20:53

yes, let's hope they get a fucking move on then

Sad truth is nobody is lynching anyone but that doesn't quite fit in with the drama queen agenda that some here are so keen on.

Who can chase anyone from anywhere online? They can't. That's easy enough to get a grip of surely?

I can't stand pearl clutching attention seekers. In fact, they make me want to hoik up in a bucket - do I not deserve the right to say so? I think I do.

Honeydragon · 10/05/2011 20:58

LeQueen

Leave the genuine silly arses to it as they are very cleverly validating the ops point.

In the meantime we could steal Johnny from Hully, I haven't caused a missing Johnny crisis in aaaaaages.

Honeydragon · 10/05/2011 20:58

WTF is a pearl clutching attention seeker? Grin

AgentZigzag · 10/05/2011 20:59

You hope who gets a move on MLM?

MNHQ?

So how do you fit into this spat then?

Were you on whatever thread's getting discussed?

Details, I need details.

Is pearl clutching a smutty euphemism? It is, isn't it? [claps hands excitedly and looks around for prize

It wasn't up to your post but I see now that it should have been and therefore I award you the MN Smutsters Prize for Innovative Smuttery.

round of applause

I feel I have to apologise profusely if I disagree, upset, wear judgy pants, since being slated twice in the same day. :) I am an 'internet random' according to one of my slaters, I quite like that title. :0
