It's polarised Mumsnet in many ways.

A N other Easter Troll? Surely not.

My bingo card is getting full.

TheFarSide · 14/04/2011 19:45

The debate is of a higher calibre than some other sections.

glastocat · 14/04/2011 19:45

How? Surely having an open forum for discussion is a good thing? Mind you, many years ago I saw an excellent forum implode under the weight of its own feminist discussion, but they were extremely hard-line and brooked no dissent at all. That forum died back in 1993 and I still think of some of the things they taught me, so I am very glad to have the space here, even though I read rather than post.

squeakytoy · 14/04/2011 19:46

Its good that they have their own little place to vent. :)

glastocat · 14/04/2011 19:46

2003, it wasn't that long ago! Grin

NormanTebbit · 14/04/2011 19:48

op I think you need to get out more..

EggyFucker · 14/04/2011 19:49

You are right

I shall cancel my membership forthwith

What a load of old bollocks, eh, I think men should get higher salaries for the same job, women should get their vote ripped up and just accept that the male sex are a higher plane of being right now

Now what shall we discuss ?

How wonderful and edgy onky is ?

LDNmummy · 14/04/2011 19:49

Have stumbled across a thread on there once and accidentally. Will not venture there voluntarily. YANBU

backjustforaminute · 14/04/2011 19:49

FWIW (opinion of unknown poster hiding behind new name Grin ) I like the feminist section. The discussions are interesting, and some of the books they suggest are interesting, too.

SkinittingFluffyBunnyBonnets · 14/04/2011 19:50

Trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrol.

methodsandmaterials · 14/04/2011 19:51

MN threads discuss loads of controversial issues. It doesn't mean that the conversations aren't worth having.
It's not always about sprinkling glitter and singing "Kumbaya".

sethstarkaddersmackerel · 14/04/2011 19:52

ooh is this going to be another of those fabbo threads where someone starts it to try and slag off the feminist section and loads of people pile on and say actually they quite like it?

I like those.

SkinittingFluffyBunnyBonnets · 14/04/2011 19:52

Oh....I see you are NOT a troll OP...but only someone who makes sweeping statements and then doesn't come back to expand.

hardhatdonned · 14/04/2011 19:53

I haven't ventured into the feminist section but feminists make me laugh, they're so belligerent and pointless and cute and fluffy feminism is self defeatist and pointless and makes me chuckle.

SkinittingFluffyBunnyBonnets · 14/04/2011 19:53

[links arms with those around her and sings Kumbaya]
