It's polarised Mumsnet in many ways.

Chickens do so have a penis. Well, the boy ones do. It lives up their bum.

EggyFucker · 14/04/2011 20:54

hec, so true

because there is no BF/bottle feeding debate is there ?

nope, no polarisation anywhere else, no sirree

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 14/04/2011 20:55

If the feminism topic bugs you that much, hide it. Like I do with the buggy/pregnancy/weaning etc boards.

TandB · 14/04/2011 20:55

[pouts at accusation of sucking-up]

[then recovers and starts following Animation around like a puppy]

MigratingCoconuts · 14/04/2011 20:55

well, it doesn't stick out then...

EggyFucker · 14/04/2011 20:56

some people like penii up their bum

HandDivedScallopsrgreat · 14/04/2011 20:57

I suspect we are going to learn a lot more about chickens than feminism from this thread!

TandB · 14/04/2011 20:57

I don't understand the hiding topics thing. Isn't there just a list of section titles? I just don't click on the ones that don't interest me. Does hiding them do something else? Like make your computer explode if you try to go near it? Or does a siren go off?

I was also going to add that polarisation is pretty dammed important to magnetism, static electricity, batteries and hydrogen bonding to name but a few things...and shouldn't be seen as a bad thng really,

So true MC, so true!

MigratingCoconuts · 14/04/2011 21:00

thank you! Smile

GwennieF · 14/04/2011 21:00

Don't read or comment on the feminist threads then. You'll save yourself alot of aggravation.

DontGoCurly · 14/04/2011 21:02

silly me!!! i must have got the idea from the Patriachal conspiracy of porn and subjigation of wimmin! After all how could I , being no more than an obedient receipient of the brainwashing misogyinstic messages of the male dominated media and cultural agenda, make up my own mind on such an Earth shattering matter!?

huh! Keeeeeeerrrazy! I know.

And there was me thinking I couldn't face looking at me grey pubes any longer!

Now where's that Naoimi Wolfe book, she's some minger her. So she knows all about the suffering of plain wimmin with grey pubes. I'll listen to 'er.

MigratingCoconuts · 14/04/2011 21:02

you are not too bad yourself..

Onky · 14/04/2011 21:03

Hecate - Disagreeing on one topic is one thing but polarised into two separate camps discussing different things is a great shame. I'm not sure it would be healthy if Breastfeeding and bottlefeeding were separate topics, frequented by entirely separate people. Lots of us might do both or be interested in both.

I have to go. I have stuff to do for tomorrow. I hope that's OK with migratingcoconuts. Wink

Confused

Not everyone wants to discuss the same things though. I don't want to talk about buggies and other people might not want to talk about the law for example. We have lots of "camps".

MigratingCoconuts · 14/04/2011 21:06

sorry...but has anyone actually seen Op recently???

niceday · 14/04/2011 21:06

Well, another way to test op's argument:

What is the worst MN section then?
My votes are for (in no particular order)

  • for sale/wanted baby changing bags
  • weather section (why not combine it with etiquette?)
  • ford
TandB · 14/04/2011 21:06

Actually meant to type "confused". Forgot about weird crinkly-faced smily.

Onky · 14/04/2011 21:06

Lots of people seem to be spectacularly missing the point.

I am the best feminist I know.

HecateQueenOfTheNight · 14/04/2011 21:07

Are there any posters who only ever post in the feminist section then? Is that the thing? Sorry, I may be being thick but I don't get it. Blush

I think there are posters who never come out of the TTC section. and the antenatal thingie boards, there are people who only ever post in there.

And there is a whole other mumsnet - the for sale section. There's a whole other group of people there who never go anywhere else!

Onky · 14/04/2011 21:08

kungfupannda - Yes but buggies don't pervade the whole of women's lives.

OP posts:
TandB · 14/04/2011 21:08

Niceday - if you can link to a bunfight in the changing bags for sale section I will vote for that one!
