Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Well I'm sure she's not any better after waiting five bloody hours in the lobby. Angry

Prayers coming your way. Thinking of your DD!

gomummygo · 24/06/2011 22:10

Lots of prayers coming at you Elmo. Poor DD. :( I hope she can keep the fluids down, but if she does need the IV it is absolutely amazing how quickly it makes a difference. It is so scary how ill they get when dehydrated, you must be beside yourself. Sending DD (and you as well!) lots and lots of good thoughts.

elmofan · 24/06/2011 22:23

So far so good , have gotten 100mls of 7up into her (thats what the doctor gave her to give her some energy )
Thank you all , hugs much appreciated xxxxx

gomummygo · 24/06/2011 22:33

Oh that's good Elmo, hope things keep looking up. About to have dinner, will continue to pray for her and check back later.

I'm sure it's the last thing you'll be thinking of but try to get yourself a tea and a snack at some point, she needs you to have your strength.

valiumredhead · 24/06/2011 22:39

Oh good, sounds positive elmo. Wonder why they don't just hook her up to an IV and be done with it? After something similar with ds a few years ago, we always keep rehydration sachets in the cupboard, they are magic!

Gosh, you must be shattered, hope you get a good night's sleep once you are all home x

Oh and gomummy is right - drink and eat!

valiumredhead · 24/06/2011 22:39

Going to bed but will check back in the morning :)

Teaandcakeplease · 24/06/2011 22:59

((hugs)) lovely Elmo. Hope your DD keeps the 7up down. Poor love. Sending a prayer up to the big man x

during the weekend we can go straight back in .
Sooooo tired and have a headache . poor dd is exhausted.
Have to measure all her intake of fluids & output of wee
over next 48 hours .
Thank you all xxxx

gomummygo · 25/06/2011 03:04

SO glad you can go home Elmo. Great news that she is keeping her fluids down. Both of you must be absolutely shattered, hope you can get some rest. Will keep her in our prayers tonight.

CheerfulYank · 25/06/2011 04:08

Glad you're home! Poor little thing.

valiumredhead · 25/06/2011 08:46

Glad you are home elmo! Get those rehydration sachets for the cupboard - you can get them from Tesco's.

DD was asking about my birthday on Monday and if I'd have lots of presents. I said probably not being a lone parent and no husband to buy me a gift and she ran off to start making me a birthday card She's soooo sweet. Love her.

Awwww Tea , she is Sooooo cute xx I hope you do end up getting pampered on your birthday , god knows you deserve it x
Are you planning anything nice to do with the dc's on Monday ?

DD seems a little brighter in herself this morning , she is talking at least . The last two days she has been mostly sleeping .
Valium dh is popping into tesco's on his way home from work later to get the rehydration sachets for dd , don't suppose you could tell me the name of them(or are they just labelled rehydration Blush ) please as dh is hopeless at finding anything that is not flashing in neon letters and jumping of the shelf in front of him Grin

Teaandcakeplease · 25/06/2011 10:22

I buy dioralyte but most supermarkets/ chemist have their own cheaper version usually called rehydration sachets Grin Just ask the Pharmacist if unsure x

New to this thread - uh hum uhh -hello

Im failing miserably with potty training
Friday -- DD was in lounge happy enough [barebum, and potty on floor], while I prepared dinner, came into living room to a smell [shocked] could not for the life of me find the poo, eventually found it, she had hitten it in the toy box [their is not a vomit smiley, else is be typing that] 5 malteasers size lumps Blush

Carried on with potty training Saturday, which end up a flop, between shopping[having to put nappy on]she was barely barebum for 2hours, so decided to leave it until DH has a weeks holiday from work in August so if shopping needed/pop out then someone would stay at house with her to keep the nappies off

Fast forward until yesterday. DH took older 2 up to see a monster truck show, fab, id have the beauts in bed at 7 and peace, the house and tv to myself.
7pm she was still awake Sad
So I chucked the hoover about before she went, hmph came across 2 lumps of hard poo, which have must have been there since friday of last week [embarrassed] so my house has been stinking of poo for a week, and nobody noticed? well we never noticed, perhaps guests have left my house thinking ...??

Teaandcakeplease · 25/06/2011 10:55

I shouldn't be laughing but I confess I am Welsh. As a lone parent with 2 toddlers my flat can be interesting at time when I find half eaten apples under sofas etc.

I'm delaying potty training my boy at the moment as I cannot face it, so I feel your pain. I'd leave it a few weeks and try again if it was me Blush

Oh and welcome to the buddy bench Smile

gomummygo · 25/06/2011 13:49

Welcome Welsh!

Tiredmum I can't believe your ankle is still swollen and they haven't given you the second xray yet, that is just wrong. :( Hope you are not in too much pain.

Tea that is just so sweet of your DD. What a thoughtful and sensitive little girl she sounds.

Elmo, so glad DD continues to improve. I doubt it's the same name but here the rehydration stuff is called PediaLyte.

What is everyone planning for the weekend?

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 15:15

I know gomummy, it's daft, its still a bit painful, yeah thats what they said just keep taking painkillers Hmm like that's really going help the overall problem, i must have been unfortunate and got the doctor who couldnt be bothered, he looked at my like i was wasting his time, even though my ankle is huge, and painful, and i am still on the crutches, i cant even go out as i cant get my trainer on Sad i had to go to hosp in a bloody ankle sock, i must have looked like a right wally Grin

I will be watching dh do diy this weekend, and no doubt they will all be on the kinect later Sad hmmpff i have my jigsaws on the computer, sod the kinect Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 15:17

Blush i know there's a couple of mistakes in that last post, no i am not drunk, honest Grin

CheerfulYank · 25/06/2011 22:17
