Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Ha Cheerful, I had to go find your post after that, and then I had to come back to say you have just perfectly demonstrated my absolute favourite thing about my lovely neighbors to the south. I have the greatest respect for, and am in awe of, the fierce...don't know the word...patriotism? so many Americans have for their home state. I am envious of it and it is beautiful. Especially when it ends with "go f%ck yourself, because you don't know sh#t." Grin You rock.

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 23:19

gomummygo · 25/06/2011 23:22

Argh Tiredmum, I can't believe they're letting you go on in pain like that for want of a simple xray! Angry for you!

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 23:25

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 23:26

gomummygo · 25/06/2011 23:27

LOL Tiredmum, I think the photos kinect takes are embarassing enough here! Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 23:29

haha they are hilarious, i love it, have you seen the child of eden one, its just wow, the lights are spectacular, these lot are still up playing sports, they look like a bunch of nutters Grin

gomummygo · 25/06/2011 23:33

No I haven't seen that one but will have to check it out!

I delete any of the photos with me in them immediately after DH and I play. He thinks I am a loon, but I always look like I'm having some sort of attack! Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 25/06/2011 23:35

Grin it's bloody fun though, what do you like playing?

we sound like a right pair of kids Grin

gomummygo · 25/06/2011 23:47

LOL, I like the one that comes with it, with the multiple games on it like the River Run and those things as they require no skill are short and simple. Grin Thought I'd like the dance one, but can't get into it. DH decided to get it as I was complaining about how sluggish I felt in the winter not being able to get moving much in the brutal cold! What do you like to play? (When you could move your foot, that is)

I've never had a video game before in my life! Blush

Tiredmumno1 · 26/06/2011 01:53

Theres always the first time for everything gomummy, and as long as you enjoy it Smile

I like the game that comes with it aswell, the river one is fun, joyride is good, the sports one cos i like the bowling, and that child of eden with the mesmorising lights

Teaandcakeplease · 26/06/2011 08:27

I have no idea what a Kinect is Blush

Is the kinect the new motion thingy for the xbox 360 ?

Tsk Tsk cheerful Wink very naughty lol , do we need to add anyone to the slap list ?

Waiting to see if we need to bring dd back to the hospital Sad we had a little set back in her recovery last night . I got the Dioralyte blackcurrant sachets but having a hard time getting her to drink it .

Teaandcakeplease · 26/06/2011 12:54

Just a small sip here and there? Sometimes gulping down anything with a wibbly tummy is hard Sad

Will have to find this Child of Eden, Tiredmum, am curious now!

Tea, Kinect is basically a sensor that attaches to an xbox. With it, you don't use a controller - you are the controller. You move your body according to what you want to happen on screen and it senses your movements.

Works for me, I could never be interested in sitting with a controller playing a video game, but this stuff is seriously good exercise! Grin

gomummygo · 26/06/2011 12:58

Xpost Elmo, yes it is. Sorry to hear that DD is not recovering as well as hoped. Does she maybe not like the Dioralyte flavour? I know my DS will not touch the cherry Pedialyte (really does seem to taste a bit like cough medicine to me) but will take spoonfuls of the grape when ill?

elmofan · 26/06/2011 13:21

She normally loves blackcurrant juice but she doesn't want to drink anything atm . The diarreah has come back Sad
Dh is in work until 10pm tonight so i'm here alone with her . She's sleeping here beside me .

elmofan · 26/06/2011 13:22

Sorry i seem to be always moaning on here lately Blush

Teaandcakeplease · 26/06/2011 13:24

Have you taken her off all dairy products? I'd try toast with only a little jam no butter or marg, if she wants something to eat and absolutely no dairy at all.

OP posts:
elmofan · 26/06/2011 13:27

She hasn't eaten anything at all since Wednesday morning . She's very weak and sleeping most of the time .

valiumredhead · 26/06/2011 13:28

elmo NOTHING to eat imo just fluids til the bug is out of her system. One sip if rehydration sachet ever 5 mins - I use an oral syringe and shoot it at the back of the mouth so it misses the taste buds. Hold her down if necessary ( sorry I am a bit hard core when it comes to stuff like this Blush)

SO hot here today!

elmofan · 26/06/2011 13:33

Hi valium , yes the hospital gave me a 10ml syringe and i have to write down all her drinks on a chart . Held her hands down earlier to get 30mls of the dioralyte into her . felt terrible doing it and dd & i ended up in tears . going to try get more in now she has just woken up .

gomummygo · 26/06/2011 13:34

for you Elmo, you must be so worried. Wish I knew what else to suggest. Will keep her in our prayers.

Teaandcakeplease · 26/06/2011 13:40

Awww poor thing. Yes I did the same as Valium with DS when he was like that with the syringe. ((hugs)) lovely x
