Tiredmum I am so confused, LOL! I think what you call a lounge is what we call a family room but am not sure (vs. living room, which I think is the same; a lounge to us is a more adult, bar-type space, fam room often has tv, etc.?)....wonder if you are laughing at me yet? I am laughing at myself trying to articulate my confusion! Anyway, how large is the lizard's abode? Actually, come to think of it, how large is the lizard? Back when I had a fish tank I liked to put it up against a wall with a mirror behind it. Always wondered if it annoyed the fish though...

We are having a bit of a heatwave here atm , it got up to 34* here yesterday.
It's a long weekend here so lots more gardening going on .
Whats everyone up to this weekend ?

tiredmum could you use the downstairs space as a playroom for the boys ?
Maybe get them some colourful beanbags & toy boxes etc .

.....he lives in a 3 ft tank and is about 18 inches, his name is podgey and is about 5 years old, loves feasting on crickets and greens, but would hate a mirror behind him, he would probably try eating himself

I've been painting DS's room and scraping the dining room floor all weekend. Blech! Not much fun but it'll be lovely when it's done. (At least that's what I keep telling myself!)

DS starts summer soccer tomorrow evening and T-Ball on Wednesday. Looks like a busy summer! I'm just soooooo happy school's out! :)

Been busy today, piano lesson first thing, then into town to drop off bags to the charity shop, then home and hoovered and mopped floors as they hadn't been done over half term couldn't be arsed to do them

I have been sick since Saturday afternoon . Some sort of flu /chest infection its playing havoc with my asthma .

Oh tiredmum Jamie has gotten So big He's so cute .

Oh poor you elmo we were up in the night as ds has seasonal asthma triggered by hay fever - poor thing was wheezing away despite it pissing down outside - goodness only knows how there was any pollen around after last night's downpour!!

Poor little fella . I hate to hear that wheeze

The weather here the last few days has gone crazy , it was scorching hot on Friday , A lot cooler but sunny on Saturday . Sunday it rained non stop and today its very overcast .

How bizarre elmo! Very warm here last week but goes from chilly to muggy within the space of 10 mins today!

How is your ds feeling today ?

Oh he's ok thanks elmo, just a bit tired after being up in the night. Hope you start to feel better soon x

We have no telly in the front room til next Monday when the new one is being delivered. Our one we have had for 15 years died last night!

Ds is watching telly in our room upstairs - he is very happy and snuggly with all the pillows I might go and join him after I have finished cooking

Ds is just home after my niece took him and my nephew to the cinema to see diary of a wimpy kid 2 . ds said it was very good

I'm going to go drag the air conditioner out of the garage today; it's supposed to hit 90 (32 your temp I think ) and with the humidity it's just too hot for me!

Gomummy we're doing DS' room in a light tan, sort of a biscuity color. It's called Graham Cracker on the paint can if that gives you any idea! :) I put up some pics on fb.

Yup, we're pretty much doing everything! We've been doing projects halfway for a few years now, and we got sick of that and are just powering through them all now. It's tough but I'm so excited at the prospect of getting everything finished!

It looks Fab I love it when the rooms smell freshly painted . does ds like the colour of his room

Hot and humid here too Cheerful, +31, too hot for me. And SIL had snow (out West) yesterday! DS' room sounds like it will be nice, must get on FB to check out your pics!

DS and I also have chest infections Elmo, I feel for you. I just want to lie down but so much to do! He is ok as he still wants to run around and play, thankfully. We sound like a pair of barking dogs sometimes I think!

Hope DS is feeling better Valium, asthma can be so brutal. :(

Need some hot weather dinner ideas for the next few days, hate heating up the house with the oven (no central air here!). Anybody have any warm-weather favourite ideas to share?
