Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Sounds great Cheerful Smile

I'm really tired and off to bed in a mo. Just showing my face. My cold has mostly gone now but I'm left with this exhausted feeling. Couldn't find the energy today to do more than a few household necessities nor yesterday for that matter Blush But hello.

CheerfulYank · 30/05/2011 20:11

Hi everyone! :) Just popping in to say hello.

DS is staying with my parents for three days. It was lovely for DH and I to sleep in late this morning together (that never happens) but the house is very quiet! :(

DH is just working on the floor and I'm going to get off mumsnet possibly and do some painting. You know, I really can't imagine what it will be like when the floor is done and all the walls are painted, etc. What will I do with myself?! :)

CheerfulYank · 30/05/2011 20:12

Oooh, scones! :)

Tiredmumno1 · 30/05/2011 21:44

Cheerful just enjoy the peace and quiet and relax Grin

Aggggghhhhhh

The dog has eaten the on/off switch for the cement
mixer Confused

Teaandcakeplease · 31/05/2011 21:43

On/ off switch Elmo? LOL oh dear

CheerfulYank · 31/05/2011 23:24

Cement mixer? Like a huge piece of machinery? Confused

Slow cooker chicken, divine! I am doing some sort of meaty beany potatoey barbecued thing. I am a bit Hmm as to its edibility.

gomummygo · 01/06/2011 13:16

Good morning to all of you lovely ladies!!! :)

Oh dear Elmo, can you replace the switch? Hope you didn't end up with ruined cement.

So winter is over, we've had our five minutes of spring and it is now summer apparently, +30 here today, not including the humidity. Confused I never know what to wear in the morning, argh!

elmofan · 01/06/2011 16:39

Hello Smile

well after 22 phone calls i have located a new switch Grin
So therefore i have earned lots of brownie points from DH as he couldn't get one anywhere . < shines halo>

Cement mixer is back up & running . (and the dog is not rotating Grin well no more than usual Wink )

cheerful mixer is one of these types www.donedeal.ie/donedeal/classifieds/viewFullPhoto.jsp?cid=6311279&ad=2138695 Smile Dh bought it two years ago when he built a playroom for the dc's . Its very expensive over here to rent this type of equipment .

Hows everyone doing today ?

Yeahhhhh gomummy glad you finally have sunshine to enjoy Smile

Tiredmumno1 · 02/06/2011 12:56

Hi all,

Elmo surely dh must owe you a favour Grin well done for finding another

Tea i hope you are no where near the town??

gomummygo · 02/06/2011 18:11

Good job on sourcing the switch! Envy at having your own cement mixer though!

Am I too late for the slow-cooked chicken Valium?

Hiya Tiredmum, we'll be needing an updated Jamie-fix soon!

How did the Hmm barbecue meal turn out Cheerful?

Are you feeling a bit better Tea?

So nosy I am with all the questions, lol!

CheerfulYank · 02/06/2011 19:39

It actually turned out ok! I had really thinly sliced fried potatoes, and I put them on top of a barbecue sauce-corn-ground turkey-black bean mixture, topped it with cheese, and let it all kind of melt together. DH and I have decided we're calling it Cowboy Potato Pie. :o

I have a feeling I'm about to get a bollocksing on this thread. I will need the Bench to retire to and lick my wounds, if so. :)

Good job finding the switch, Elmo !

CheerfulYank · 02/06/2011 19:41

What town do you hope Tea isn't near? Confused

Teaandcakeplease · 02/06/2011 19:47

Teaandcakeplease · 03/06/2011 08:08

Lounge on the second floor? It all sounds lush Tiredmum.

I don't use the Co op bank. I'm a HSBC girl but I generally avoid Watford unless I absolutely have to. Just because life with 2 toddlers is hard work at the best of times Grin Without adding anything else into the equation!
