Just happened upon the last one and liked it, so ...

I don't think The King's Speech is that great a film; I think the directing was often unimaginative, cliched and banal and the script obvious. And Helena Bonham Carter wasn't that good.

homebirths are just plain odd

most midwives have no idea what they are talking about

OliPolly · 20/03/2011 22:27

I love private education

I love my 4x4

I think some MN posters need to get a life

morfamawddach · 20/03/2011 22:27

Leonardo di Caprio looks like a pug.

The King's Speech was dull.

Caravans are heavenly.

Libraries are no longer necessary.

Old Etonians are as well equipped to run the country as state school folk.

The Finkler Question did not deserve to win the Booker.

...and relax! Wink

PoppetUK · 20/03/2011 22:28

but bugger it. A stint abroad and a little more of the "no worries" attitude will do many people in this country a favour, especially in tescos and in carparks. (I've gone off to hide behind the sofa)

Runningjustasfastasican · 20/03/2011 22:29

I think people who give their children names that result in their initials spelling a word are strange - I know an EGG, a MAD and an ASS!

I've only met one mean midwife - the rest were lovely!

bupcakes Grin

jazz412 · 20/03/2011 22:30

opinions are opinions - just that. Even if we don't agree with them we can't say they're wrong, they may be misinformed but most things are subjective.

hissymissy · 20/03/2011 22:30

I am just better/cleverer/prettier/nicer than everyone else on this website. So there!

aliciasilverstone · 20/03/2011 22:30

Every word Cecelia Ahern ever wrote is total shite, and PS I Love You is an awful film.

emmanumber3 · 20/03/2011 22:30

While I understand that some people may think being a SAHM is not a full time job & that they are very entitled to their opinion, maybe they would feel differently if those children were autistic. I had a full-time, high pressure office job for many years before having DS1 & I definitely know which role was more "full-time" & harder work for me!

Oh, and I didn't breastfeed because I didn't want to Smile

VajazzHands · 20/03/2011 22:31

Vajazz - please don't get me started on vegetarians - or do if your anemic hands have the strength to type a coherent argument...

Oh yes I am withering away.. i fucking wish

Runningjustasfastasican · 20/03/2011 22:31

Boo - are they as nice cold?

boosmummie · 20/03/2011 22:31

NO you're not Hissy I am.

PS I Love you is so bollocks that I turned over after 20 minutes.

bupcakesandcunting · 20/03/2011 22:32

"Vajazz - please don't get me started on vegetarians - or do if your anemic hands have the strength to type a coherent argument...."

Tea snorted up nose. Cheers.

sue52 · 20/03/2011 22:32

The Black Swan was rubbish.
Vegans are self righteous and hard to cater for.
People who don't slow down for horses are scum.
Green and Blacks organic chocolate tastes no better than a bar of Cadburys

Runningjustasfastasican · 20/03/2011 22:32

Re Cecelia - I agree Alicia

boosmummie · 20/03/2011 22:33

NOt quite, but it's close and I just pop them in the oven or m/wave for a blast and they're almost perfect again. But I agree, nothing beats them straight from the heat.

I WILL be getting some tomorrow now!

VajazzHands · 20/03/2011 22:35

gebrannte mandeln ....mmmmmmmmmm

And a great big fuck off litre of weissbier

spiderslegs · 20/03/2011 22:39

I have never met a horrible midwife.

Homebirths are great - you can smoke fags.

I bfd my daughter until she was 2.5 & there was nothing wierd about it for either of us.

The majority of primary school teachers are dullards who should not be let near children.

Marriage is an extremely valid concept as long as we accept our limitations as individuals & humans.

Born agains Christians - yep, please get a grip.

Gordon Brown, Jesus Christ, I would rather cauterise my own genitals with an iron then let that man near me.

Runningjustasfastasican · 20/03/2011 22:40

Very jealous! I'll be dreaming of them and weissbier and Ritter sport, night night!

Oh and Russell and Tim - what a party :)

spiderslegs · 20/03/2011 22:42

However Alicia I agree with you re Cecilia - she only got a contract 'cause her dad was Bertie

saysithowitis · 20/03/2011 22:42

SAHMs who have cleaners are lazy.
Sending your child to a private school borders on neglect and they might well be damaged for life by the experience
The Sopranos is utter shit

worraliberty · 20/03/2011 22:45

Don't knock home births until you've tried one!

No flesh eating bugs

2 midwives all to yourself

The comfort of your own home instead of a public building.

No childcare problems

Proper cup of tea after Wink

(wonders how the human race survived thus far)

Oh yes..my unpopular opinion..Hospitals are for sick people/pregnant mums with health issues. They're not for people who are too wussy to have a baby in natural surroundings Wink

spiderslegs · 20/03/2011 22:47

SAHMs who have cleaners do not like scrubbing the floor & skirtings
