to being miffed at being threatened and having my account closed?

My son fostered a dog through the above, they are a collection of volunteers who help rehome, mainly dogs, but cats and small furries as well. Without informing RHU he rehomed the dog, which is a big no-no...I bollocked him and the rescue got the dog back. People connected to the rescue, NOT RHU, threatened to castrate my son and send animal rights "friends" to see him. My son is an animal lover and at no time abused, harmed or in any way neglected this lovely dog and in the few days he had the dog he bought the dog a new crate new toys and turned her around from being a manic dog to one that was good with other dogs, walked good on the lead/off the lead and knew her basic commands. I loved doing things for the animals for no return. When this rescue got the dog back they told the woman that she had bitten a child, untrue, but on its website it says it is good with children? Any advice?

And a big warm welcome to you too Ceretrea on what appears to be your first visit to Mn.
Unless you are a namechanger

staffylover · 14/03/2011 23:28

So how did cereyrea know this was
A. Being posted
B. That this was to do with her specialized subject,RHU?

IS this all really going on via Facebook?

Vallhala · 14/03/2011 23:29

No chance of it going to law. Rescue hasn't the money to prat around like that, hence (I'd imagine) why they told the new owner that the dog was child-aggressive - far cheaper and more expedient than dragging the OP's son through the courts for theft and fraud.

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:30

Report what you want.Grin

BoysAreLikeDogs · 14/03/2011 23:30
Confused

can I summarise:

OP, her partner and her son belong to a dog rescue group

her son rehomed a dog, contravening that dog rescue group's rules

the dog rescue group recovered the dog, possibly by indicating that the dog was not child-friendly

the dog rescue group booted out the son, OP and her partner

right so far?

Vallhala · 14/03/2011 23:33

Yep, right so far, BALD.

IS someone going to stop arguing long enough to tell me whether the OPs son gave the dog to someone they knew or to a stranger please?

And if it was a stranger how on earth did he make contact with them and establish that they wanted a dog?

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:33

Bythe way, im very scared of you and your friend if that helps you feel better

Ceretrea · 14/03/2011 23:33

catinthehat2 RHU members posted links to this on their forum of which I am a member. I came here to reply. Of what name am I supposed to have changed?

Am I not allowed to post as a new member then? Or do you simply not like people pointing out that you have been rude, which you continue to be so.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 14/03/2011 23:35

ooopsie, I forgot that there is talk of a threat, unspecified

and we don't know how the contact with the new home was made

It's too complicated for me

Thanks Val

Vallhala · 14/03/2011 23:36

Actually, sorry BALD, the OP and family belong to a dog rescue forum (RHU) but the dog was rehomed by the son contrary to the rules of the RESCUE which owned her. That rescue is also a member of the RHU forum.

That rescue recovered the dog and then RHU booted the OP, son and partner off their forum.

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:36

And can I interest you in contact details for the Jeremy Kyle show while you are here?

BoysAreLikeDogs · 14/03/2011 23:37

Ceretrea you are being disingenuous - you did not say earlier that you are from that forum, only now have you stated this

BoysAreLikeDogs · 14/03/2011 23:38

Oh Val, it's BEYOND me

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:40

I am not laughing with you CeretreA, I.m laughing at you.

Ceretrea · 14/03/2011 23:40

BALD I'm not sure why it was important I declare this. Is this a paranoid community? Perhaps everyone should state what forums they are from when they post?

Ceretrea · 14/03/2011 23:41

catinthehat2, this is a very serious discussion involving a rescue animal. Why would you be laughing at all?

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:41

OOPSIE

Ceretrea · 14/03/2011 23:43

Staffylover:- Either you are withholding information or you have been bullied. In fairness to RHU most forum members who are banned also have their spouses removed.

HOWEVER, you have now stated you left. I find that somewhat confusing. I have tried to give neutral, reasonable advice but its very hard to do so if the facts aren;t straight.

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:43

No reason
No reason at all.

Vallhala · 14/03/2011 23:45

Whoever said that not all the facts are being revealed ain't half wrong! I can't even get an answer to whether the OPs son homed the dog to someone he knew or not!

Ceretrea · 14/03/2011 23:46

I'm not sure either Val...each is being cagey as obviously some facts will be wanted to be kept private. Trouble is, when you use a forum to vent you have to say everything or not at all so as to avoid confusion.

catinthehat2 · 14/03/2011 23:46

Val, give up.
Look s like the poor dog is safe anyway.

Tanith · 14/03/2011 23:48

It's a bit antisocial to bring an argument from another forum and start it up elsewhere. Particularly when the new forum is missing half the story.

Why don't you both toddle off back to Dogs R Us or whatever they're called and settle your differences over there?

Ceretrea · 14/03/2011 23:49

She can't, she left or was banned
