To not know what to call DS's "bits"

Silverlace · 13/03/2011 17:25

DSs are 6 and 4 and we have always said willy but now they have picked up "nuts" from school. I don't particularly like hearing them say it but suppose it is better that many words they could use! What are they called in your families?

well technically, willy and nuts are the differnt parts, so both are correct.

I call them his "bits" or "willie"

shushpenfold · 13/03/2011 17:32

Willy and pods for my ds, courtesy of my dh!

FreudianSlippery · 13/03/2011 17:33

DS has a willy and goolies :o

bonkers20 · 13/03/2011 17:33

DS (age 11) generally calls it his willy, but I've made sure from the start that he knows that the proper name is penis and that his testicles are testicles not nuts. He knows 4 million other terms, some frivolous, others less so. I think nuts is pretty common in the playground. I probably don't really want to know how he refers to it among his friends (or maybe they don't at this age?).

Mamaz0n · 13/03/2011 17:34

nuts balls plums knackers conkers......i think that DS has come home with lots of differnt words over the years.
Mostly i just pull a Hmm face and he doesn't use it again.

but thankfully at 10 he doesn't need to talk about them very often anymore

MrsBananaGrabber · 13/03/2011 17:39

My darling mother was bathing my DS's when they were little (now 7 and 9) and she refered to them as 'town halls' and it stuck, I don't like it so they use it all the more.

dexifehatz · 13/03/2011 17:39

DSs are called willy and we don't really have a name for his testicles. DDs are called 'bits'

DS (11) refers to it as his 'gentleman's area' - but on holiday recently this came out as 'gentlemantalia'!

seeker · 13/03/2011 17:44

My ds used to call his "tentacles" Sadly, he's grown out of that now and says "balls" or "nuts" or "goolies" or wnatever is the current word de jour!

"but thankfully at 10 he doesn't need to talk about them very often anymore"

Really? I have a 10 year old ahd he talks about his all the time!

jasper1980 · 13/03/2011 17:48

penis and testicles here too...I don't get calling them anything else..they are what they are

meditrina · 13/03/2011 17:49

Love the word "gentlemantalia" Grin!

LadyThumb · 13/03/2011 17:50

Penis and testicles from the time he could talk.

nagynolonger · 13/03/2011 17:52

Anything is better than meat and two veg!

How about the family jewels.

TattyDevine · 13/03/2011 17:55

I just think it sounds so funny when you hear a 4 year old proclaiming something or other about his "penis"

Silly, I know, obviously it is the correct word.

Anyway my son seems to have named it his "Willy" due to what his school chums say, I suspect, so I think Willy is a fairly common label these days...

I think I've also heard "winkie" but we dont use that.

BristolJim · 13/03/2011 18:05

More to the point, what do you call a girl's front bum?

TalkinPeace2 · 13/03/2011 18:06

TyraG · 13/03/2011 18:08

DS is almost five and DD is 3 he as a penis, she has a vagina and they use those terms.

cunexttuesonline · 13/03/2011 18:09

DS is only 2, and it's his winkle.

I love 'gentlemantalia', that's brilliant!

DaisyDaresYOU · 13/03/2011 18:16

Widler in our house lol

DelicateFluffyBunny · 13/03/2011 18:19

Willy/penis and testicles.

KeepCalmAndCurryOn · 13/03/2011 18:30

Undercarriage

toeragsnotriches · 13/03/2011 18:30

Winkie. And balls. (Or DH calls them nadgers but I'm not keen on this.)

We had big issues with what to call lady bits. I sought advice and was told frou frou. Anyhow, it stuck, for better or worse...

toeragsnotriches · 13/03/2011 18:30

Oh yes, and undercrackers.
