If you do, and think that the way in which the reforms are being pushed through is rushed and ill considered. Sign the petition here

Done.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 15:51

Thank. I don't have anything to do with the site but having experienced an ill child in private healthcare I feel really strongly about this issue. The NHS ain't perfect but it is brilliant Smile

Bump. Surely if all the healthcare unions & thinktanks don't think it's a great plan, it's not a great plan?

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 28/02/2011 16:01

done not sure hoew effective it will be but have added it to my facebook aswell.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 16:26

Thank you all. I'm really surprised that the government don't seem to be listening when GPs themselves are not happy about the changes. Major healthcare charities and doctor's and nurses associations are all against the idea.

There must be more MNetters who could get behind this!

Please sign the petition and tell your MP you don't want the reforms.

Remember it is our NHS. We pay the taxes that fund it. We have a say in what happens to it!

Done and so have 41 others in my Tory-held constituency.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 18:09

I know. People don't seem that bothered now. But I think it's because few have experienced what private healthcare is really like.

The NHS is precious.

OP posts:
Sirzy · 28/02/2011 19:23

Done and posted to FB.

Without the fantastic treatment in our local NHS hospital DS wouldn't be alive today. It may not be perfect but its our NHS and I can't believe these reforms will be in anyway good for the NHS, or for the country. Some things are more important than costcutting.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 19:29

Sick people are vulnerable. And caring for the vulnerable members of our society is what the 'Big Society' (and a welfare state!) should be about.

Britian is not a nation of accountants. Britons do not only value the bottom line! Let's not allow them to get away with this!

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 28/02/2011 19:36

BUMP- their will be no care

GP's will either be drawn away from their patients to manage the bloody thing (as they know all that is best for their patients (sod the hospital speacialist) or there will be a whole new layer of privately contracted management (with very close links to the private health sector) who give all of the income genrating stuff to the private healthcare conglomerates, reducing the money going to the nhs resulting in a 2 tier system where you are fine if you have uncomplex needs but anything a little bit difficult or heaven forbid costly and you're fucked!

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 19:37

Public sector debt in 1946 was 250% of GDP; today it's 57.6%. In 1946 we started building the NHS.

Vilt · 28/02/2011 19:57
