If you do, and think that the way in which the reforms are being pushed through is rushed and ill considered. Sign the petition here

I'm stunned that this thread is still so small. :(

smashingtime · 28/02/2011 20:13

Yes agree.

Am very worried about GP's having so much responsibility - are they doctors or managers??

Also wonder why more people aren't shouting about cuts to charities and the voluntary sector....

bigoleheffer · 28/02/2011 20:15

Done and facebooked!

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 20:25

Thanks everyone. I'm slightly Confused as to why this is still so small too. The latest count on the web is 25 159. Not exactly overwhelming.

Done, thanks for link.

We can let these reforms go ahead unchallenged and unchanged. It would result in a robbing of our healthcare system which we pay for. Without a reduction in NI contributions n

Done.

Will put on Twitter and will ask DH if he can Facebook it.

meditrina · 28/02/2011 21:15

Don't want to derail (and this will at least bump the thread) but the reason public debt was startlingly high in 1946 was the aftermath and costs of 6 years of total national effort into war. The comparison is unhelpful.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/02/2011 21:37

Thanks for the bump meditrina Grin. You are right, of course. However, I fail to see how we need it less today than in 1946 or how the deficit can be a good excuse for destroying something as valuable and equitable as the NHS.

I know that a lot f damage has already been done to it. But it s time for us to stand up and say 'Enough is enough!'

I work for the NHS. Our trust is currently going through huge changes which come into effect on 1st April... apparently, they still haven't been okayed by the government!

We need changes, but we need more thought putting into it. We don't need things rushing through just to save money and hope that it'll be okay.

tougholdbird · 28/02/2011 21:56

done. I've also been wondering where to go to register a protest, so thanks.
