As starkly reminded by recent threads, MN is not the sort of place that I feel very safe, with or without anonymity. I don't expect to be missed, I have often been quite and outspoken bitch on here and haven't exactly made a lot of friends. I am delighted to have met some of the feminists, and will hopefully see them again. But twice in two weeks I've had PMs reminding me of things I've posted about my husband and I'm really upset about it. For me MN has been a quick knee jerk experience, one that captures my mood at any moment. So toodle pip.....about time I did more with the dcs anyway.

I am really aware that this is an attention seeking thread, but I just wanted MN to know that I won't be the only one leaving when apparent heartbreak (not mine) is fodder for someone's 'shit stirring Sunday'.....

I am always shocked by people doing their best to upset someone via a website. Sad, sad people.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 19:55

I don't understand what the fuck anyone is talking about

And I need to.

ThePosieParker · 22/02/2011 19:56

Posie, I think you and I have been on many threads where we have disagreed, and many where we have agreed. For all I know, you probably don't know my name at all Grin

The only way to keep the balance on this site, is to dilute the awful posters with the good ones. It is all the good ones going Sad

SN:Children is my 'home' on here. It is the place I feel is 'mine'. It has been decimated by the fall out of recent events. I considered leaving, but to be honest, well I'm far to stubborn, and there are people queuing up for advice. Where will that come from? We have people on there spouting all sorts of mis-information. Unless people who know what they are talking about stay, then it will just get worse.

I know the rest on MN isn't like SN, I know that lots of it is about opinions, not facts, but just because you spark debate in your posts, don't let some mindless idiot stop you enjoying your 'home'.

I would be sad to see you gone. Doesn't matter whether we agree or disagree, you always strike me as 'true' in your opinions; I value that.

EdgarAleNPie · 22/02/2011 20:00

i'd say more mud, pea soup and seventies-filing-cabinet colour in your house leq

:P

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 20:00

But you luff me, Lenin!

Does it all count for nowt now the chips are down?

Lougle · 22/02/2011 20:01

"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me".

It never was true. Why are small children taught it? Lies from the beginning Confused

i don't know why le queen it is baffling, i mean if some sad bastard really wanted to trawl through my nine YEARS of posts, i am certain non of it would add up.

what i think today may change tomorrow.

in fact it is due to the skills of highly excelelnt mumsnetters that my outlook has changed on a good many things

Oblomov · 22/02/2011 20:07

One poster said that they were surprised that anyone could remember what anyone had posted 6 days ago let alone 6 months ago.
I am like that. Can't even remember who is funny, least of all what they actually wrotre.

To post such nastiness is ...... Hmm

Mind you I will never forget LeQueens Brenda. But thats a different swinger story . Ha ha.

BelleDameSansMerci · 22/02/2011 20:07

Will someone please tell the part-timers (ie me) who it is? I think I've hidden the most contentious threads of late.

I didn't know AF's name change had been outed either. Bloody hell.

Hullygully · 22/02/2011 20:08

If you go, Posie, it will be like school. The bullied leaves and the bully stays. Think on.

On how many threads do we all counsel against that?

BelleDameSansMerci · 22/02/2011 20:08

I should admit, though, that I do remember things from ages ago (mostly LeQ's house which, although apparently shockingly decorated, sounds divine).
