I had a beautiful one with my Silver Cross (yes it is I that hogs the pavement). However the living came away and it went a bit crap.

My mother then bought me a large overnight bag with a kooky red and pink owl print. Then my friend broke the zip on it.

Just been on Ebay looking at "Yummy Mummy" bags and they're so beautiful.

So out of curiosity and a bit of advice, what nappy bag did/do you use?

this was my 3rd bag and I loved it Didnt pay that for it though!

I use an old Fendi handbag. I figured I didn't need a nappy bag, per se. If I'm just nipping out I tend to stick a couple of nappies in whichever handbag I'm carrying, plus babywipes.

Well I sometimes do that, I have a large canvas LV Trunks & Bags bag, which I normally shove things in there, but I'm sick of pulling out my purse or car keys and find them covered in banana or juice

I need a fairly big one as I carry so much crap stuff.

I have a Pink Lining one that I got in the John Lewis sale. It's really big, which was my main requirement as I use cloth nappies and the HopPop one I had before literally burst at the seams from being stuffed with giant cloth nappies.

I have this one Except it is plain black and doesnt have Illinois written on it!

Some bags I'm thinking of an old Prada nylon one that I've got - remember when they were IT? - have dividers in the middle; one could put juice and bananas on one side, and handbag, keys, diary etc. on the other? (Hmm, might dig it out, having remembered . . . )
The only useful advice I can think of is that I nearly always carry a bag which is wipe clean these days - patents/ metallics are good- as DS sucks the handles and has even been sick both over and into my handbag as I was carrying him past it . . . .

I use cloth nappies too-hence I need a lot of space. I don't know if I should risk a rucksack to find out it won't contain everything.

I love love love the yummy mummy bags but my dh I refuse point blank to pay £100 for a nappy bag. This makes me sad.

I had a couple of Pink Lining ones and loved them. Considering using them again and I don't even have a baby anymore!

I think the Yummy Mummy ones are Pink Lining - I paid £50 for mine and it was worth it. Sorry if they aren't the ones you mean but they do say Yummy Mummy on (well mine says Blooming Gorgeous but it says Yummy Mummy on the changing mat and wipe bag). They always have so e in the sale section on their website.

My bugaboo bag is great, black, hardwearing, can fit lots in (toys etc). Bit bulky but not a problem as always on back of pram. Long adjustable strap so I wear it cross body if lugging car seat in. Comes with change mat, thermal bottle & food holders. MIL got it me when she gave me pram. Does for me & dh.

Skip hop do nice bags/ good prints.

I use an ASDA plastic carrier bag.....

When i'm feeling flush..

Otherwise it's an ALDI bag.

Emsjy, yes they are the same, the pink lining are just the one line. They're so beautiful.

I had a green tweed Oioi one the first time round which was used into a threadbare saggy thing.

I got a butterfly glossy Oioi one the second time round but found I was using my pockets/asda carrier/buggy basket instead at that point. It's barely used but very pretty.

The Oioi ones I like have straps made of car seatbelt strapping and they're so well sewn in if you wear it across your body you can sit a toddler over it and it takes their weight nicely.

I use the last one pictured (the medic bag) as it's not too big, and I can wear it across my body if need be.

I think keeping it small helped, otherwise I would have been tempted to pack the kitchen sink!

Oh just get one - they are big and practical and pretty. Think how much money you have saved (and are still saving) by using cloth nappies! It's an investment.

I got a Pacapod. Mine's an unglamorous satchel so it's DP friendly but they have some gorgeous ones.

I never used one. I had a few and found them far too much hassle. I would stick some bottles and powder in my handbag.

I used cloth nappies and would have a small odourpfoof bag to hold two spare inners a few liners a few wipes, a plastic bag for any wetties and a spare wrap in the mesh carrier at the bottom of the pram. Whole thing was 10cm sq

If we were going for walks with the baby in the babycarrier the odouproof bag would stay in the car.

Plastic bags stuffed in buggy or handbag! Don't see the need for a 'proper' one - needlessly bulky and heavy to carry about a couple of nappies and a pack of wipes IMO.
