OK so I don't often PM people, but do occassionally.

Today I tried to PM someone and when I clicked send it came up with a message:
"Sorry but PMs aren't the quickest way to get in contact with Justine..." and went on to give an MN email address to contact her at instead.

So I'm now about the OP as the implcation from this message is that this person is someone at MNHQ posting annonymously.

I might add that I also PM someone else today and didn't get that message and have never seen it before either.

Of course it could just be a bug. But I'm still rather . Especially as the OP is posting as a dad...

What would you think?

I cant believe you're surprised at this. Does anyone really believe that the mnhq people dont post? I mean you just have to look at a few threads to see the ones that are made up to keep the conversations going/ maintain interest! Help I've found something think my dh is having an affair, que everyone posting on tenterhooks for a day, phew he's not, hurrah happy ending. Oh I've just been asked out, and everyone hangs on for details of fledgling romance. Its the modern day internet version of a soap opera. And you all get to give advice and be part of a real life drama. And there's always the usual questions posted on babies, pregnancy, potty training, sleep training to keep it all going.

I personally would far rather they just admitted it if that was the case.

The poster I tried to PM hasn't been back since I posted this thread I might add.

Ok so he posted a message thanking for advice at about the same time, but there have had more posts since that on the thread. GIven how prolific he was during those couple of hours it all just adds to the for me.

Oh, don't be so silly, that's a perfectly plausible explanation from MNHQ right there. Dramz, dramz, dramz you lot, honestly. Talk about a storm in an IT cup. Have you really got nothing better to occupy yourselves with?

Honestly, if MNHQ wanted to "facilitate" the boards a little, I can't see why they would namechange their usual account, being MNHQ, they could easily set up some "proper" accounts for this kind of thing. I really dont think they have the time, or need, personally, but if they did, I think they'd be a little slicker.

Just my opinion!
