Helen I'm not entirely convinced...
I asked earlier in this thread if anyone else had got a similar message. And so far no-one else has said they did. Ok so it is entirely possible that no-one who has posted here tried to PM in those 20 seconds...
But it wasn't just 20 seconds...
When I got the message I tried to send it again a couple of times and then re-pasted the name when I got the message. That in itself probably took me 20 seconds...
Then I PM someone else and that worked fine; PM sent and no message came up.
Then I tried the original person again and got the message come up as before re Justine.
And that was certainly a lot more than 20 seconds later...
I'm perfectly happy to accept that things go wrong, and clearly something technical was changed which made something odd happen. What that was could have several explanations of course.
But I'm thinking that if you knew you had asked tech to do something technical and it had gone wrong and was fixed in 20 seconds, why is the explanation only now being given some 2 days later. I have deliberately not reposted on the thread when it went quite hoping that an explanation would be forthcoming, either on the thread or by email. But now someone has posted I think it fair to ask...
Nothing was said in the MNHQ email reply to me over 2 hours later other than you've asked a tech to look at it and that you'd posted on this thread. If you knew there was an issue some 2 plus hours before hand I think the response, on this thread and to me by email, would have been a bit more informative at the time or shortly afterwards.
I'm not suggesting that Justine is a troll btw. I'm still
by it all, and freely admit to being a sceptical person who is optimistically hoping for a reaonable explanation.
That said I would add that I have enjoyed some of the light hearted responses here which has helped a bit with my
somewhat but not entirely.
