I was thinking last night about all the different trends we had at school and how they are nothing compared to today's (iPhones pandora bracelets etc). To start off a few that I can remeber from my school days , naf co 54 coats ( nasty and cheap looking but cost a fortune) every other person in the school que had one.
Plastic dummies worn as necklaces (weird one that)
bleached fringes so ugly but we thought we looked great.
Light up trainers
all of which got banned after a while .

very tight skirts with splits, a lethal combination on steep coach steps. You could almost hear the senior mistress giggle she dolled out the safety pins - it was a mixed school Smile

at primary school
-beer bottle tops on shoes (as in Bros) never did that one as was of the opinion it looked bloody stupid even back then lol!

  • collecting Garbage Pail kid stickers (great sticker collections with gross people on, stuff like Snotting Sarah, Rotting Richard etc (not sure if those two were ever actually characters but you get the drift! Smile

later on (high school)

  • luminous t-shirts that changed colour when you got warmer, can't remember what they were called! Hyper something or other?
  • dummies on a chain necklace (thought they looked bloody daft so never did them either lol)
-oh and shell suits were the height of cool, and I myself had a lovely fetching purple and pink one and thought it was great! (CRINGE)

Putting your hair up in a tight ponytail then having two little thin straight bits hanging down framing the face at the front (note, could just be an Essex trend)
