And said "Are you ok?" It could have been a heartstopping moment but it was comfortable

No handcuffs were produced; no warrant.

I write about the police under my own name; so it seems reasonable to on nodding terms with them.

I have talked to people who think that is unreasonable. (and maybe a bit dangerous)

But I take the view that the ordinary officer has no real say in the big decisions. so, what the hell

WorzselMummage · 04/02/2011 14:42

I'm not surprised.

HingCogNeeto · 04/02/2011 14:43

gordyslovesheep · 04/02/2011 14:43

gordyslovesheep · 04/02/2011 14:45

was she going to arrest you for being in possesion of some nuggets and a 19mth old? then realised it was organic, hand fed, loving killed local chicken?

MrsRichardHammond · 04/02/2011 14:45

And the clock struck thrice at the witching hour when the weeble tapped shoulder bobble hit

:o

This is fun.

pagwatch · 04/02/2011 14:45

That is nice gabby.

Were you expecting her to arrest you?
what have you been up to?

GypsyMoth · 04/02/2011 14:45

i'm an ex police officer....and on your thread.....touched your shoulder??? could've been worse....

GabbyLoggon · 04/02/2011 14:46

Lisa me duck

I think it is a fairly straight forward tale
of police /public relationship

Are you by any chance a police officer?

A police distruster?

A One line stirrer?

An alternative comedian

or just someone who butts in and butts out for no logical reason

Good Luck, anyway "Gabby"

gordyslovesheep · 04/02/2011 14:46

was she gay ? or a Muslim - if so you need to let these people know www.dailywail.co.uk/gotasensationalstory?

KurriKurri · 04/02/2011 14:46

I'm glad you are OK Gabby,

And pleased/disappointed* for you that no handcuffs were involved.

*delete as appropriate.

bullet234 · 04/02/2011 14:47

I'm gathering that she gave you a surprise when she touched you on the shoulder. Were you daydreaming whilst walking? I do that loads of times and probably look like I'm miles away. I could see a community police officer just asking if I was ok then as well.

ShatnersBassoon · 04/02/2011 14:47

What an amazing anecdote.

MrSpoc · 04/02/2011 14:47

Me personally Gabby, I am more of an informer / Rat, i just love to stir shit.

gordyslovesheep · 04/02/2011 14:47

where you standing on a ledge?

HecateQueenOfWitches · 04/02/2011 14:47

YANBU. I completely agree with you.
