OK AIBU but AFAIK ATM FWIW and IIRC IME and IMHO IYKWIM
I would appreciate your POV on acronyms. Personally I find them a PITA
I know I am being OTT but it really MMTI IYSWIM. IIRC before forums and txt
we all wrote the full word. I even have friends now who say LOL FFS!

I was told an IT one that made me laugh - PICNIC, "problem in chair not in computer". Think someone on MN told me that.

OTheHugeManatee IIT stands for In It Together - don't think it's a mumsnet one, just somebody made it up! I was on that thread for about three weeks before I gave up trying to work it out and just asked..!

To my shame my 9yr old dd uses FFS as an expletive, knowing full well what it means and that she is not allowed to say it in full - it definitley does not sound so rude
