To laugh at women that don't work but........

To laugh at women that don't work but rush to the school gates 10 mins after the bell and usually rushing in at school finishing time rambling on about how busy they are and there is not enough time in the day.

I only work 16 hours a week and still manage to get everything done and a meal on the table.

So the question is ''Are people that work more organized?''

You only work 16 hours a week? Amateur. At the moment, my working week is averaging about 50 hours, and I still manage to get almost everything done - laundry, shopping, cooking, cleaning.

leaves out that she doesn't have DCs

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 13:07

If I'm late it's usually because

a) On a Thursday because I've been at toddler group (which I play the piano at) and am busy gassing Blush

b) Because I've fallen asleep on the sofa as my insomnia is bad

c) I'm so busy doing stuff for church/housework/playing with DS3/sorting out DS3's tantrum that I've not realised the time.

I do now have an alarm set for 3.00pm to remind me - so that's an improvement (though am still always late on Thursdays Grin)

sevendwarves · 28/01/2011 13:08

And I'm entitled to say that, I tried to be nice when you asked if Mumsnet is always aggressive after the thread you started which frilly referred to.

I see you haven't learnt anything.

matchbox20 · 28/01/2011 13:08

Just trying to start a debate thats all...........because I have yet to find an interesting one.

And yes I will still at laugh at people that cannot organise their time. Because basically if you cannot get your child to school on time it is pathetic, try getting out of bed earlier,, it is not rocket science.

People who work have all the issues above and more.

OP posts:
LadyTremaine · 28/01/2011 13:11

Why do you work 16 hours OP? You know people could judge you for that right? If we judged everyone based on just our own narrow existence we'd be far too busy to ever get our kids to school on time.

I work 50 hours+ a week. I think your 16 hours is pitiful. There, stick that in your pipe.

(... hopes others know I don't really think that and that I am making a point with my MN hours worked trumping game)

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 13:11

I used to be late when I worked as well - not for drop off - but for pick-up......

Agree with whoever it was up there that said it's got absolutely sod all to do with working/not working as to whether someone is late or not.

Now if you'll excuse me this SAHM has "work" to be getting on with...........

cakewench · 28/01/2011 13:12

Oh I do hope you wear that gold star you earned by working a whole 16 hours a week outside of the home and also somehow managing to be a mum, as well. my goodness, how tough it is to be you! and how crap everyone else is by comparison!

I think Mylee (hope I didn't get the name wrong) got it right with her post upthread. We all have different situations, and I knew from your thread title "to laugh at other women" that the response was YABU even before knowing wtf you were on about.

But you aren't starting a debate are you? You're just insulting people and trying to have the same argument again.

Change the record.

LadyTremaine · 28/01/2011 13:12

Oh and my child's always on time because I pay someone else to take her, if it was left up to me she'd be late every day.

ChippingInSmellyCheeseFreak · 28/01/2011 13:12

matchbox - if it's so lame around here why not pop over to netmums?

and stop being a fucking twat over here.

matchbox20 · 28/01/2011 13:12

I wont change my name why on earth would I want to. Unless I wanted to hide who I was what would be the point.

But I would probably go away [why you have to swear is beyond me] because you never get a decent debate on here.

It is either all fluffy or turns into a fight.

Can't anyone debate properly anymore?

OP posts:
AbsDuCroissant · 28/01/2011 13:12

Yeah, I agree with LadyTremaine - why the feelings of intense superiority because you work 16 hours a week? Are you so disorganised you can't work any more?

TrollyMcTrollPants · 28/01/2011 13:12

It's not starting a debate its engineering a bun-fight........

Maylee · 28/01/2011 13:13

You must be a perfect mother. Never late to anything, you and your children must be beautifully presented, I'm sure they are perfectly behaved and never ever get stroppy or misbehave.

Somehow, I doubt you are perfect. So stop judging others.

Lonnie · 28/01/2011 13:13

Yes YABU how do you know if they are busy or not?

Judgey pants on imo..

mackereltaitai · 28/01/2011 13:13

How about working on a little empathy in those 16 hours, eh? What goes around comes around. Hope you're not trying to get up in the morning while taking medication that would fell a horse... attempting to get 2 teenagers out of bed in time to prevent a visit from the truancy officer... listening to your husband explain that he will definitely be taking his own life today, while it's 8.17 and your youngest wants you to hear his spellings...

slightlymad72 · 28/01/2011 13:13

You are a nasty piece of work matchbox, this must be very entertaining for you.

You have no idea about my life, but you choose to judge me based on whether I can get to school on time.
Giggle away if it makes you happy.

FindingStuffToChuckOut · 28/01/2011 13:13

Biscuit I baked it myself. YAWN!

MissBeehiving · 28/01/2011 13:13

Biscuit YAWN

cakewench · 28/01/2011 13:13

Yes but it's not a debate. You didn't phrase this as a debate at all. You came in sanctimonious, and you're getting the response you deserve.

ThePosieParker · 28/01/2011 13:14

trip trap.....

southeastastra · 28/01/2011 13:14

FoundWanting - you can have it. I'm going to take a nap and hope I wake up in time for the afternoon school run.
