To laugh at women that don't work but........

matchbox20 · 28/01/2011 12:41

To laugh at women that don't work but rush to the school gates 10 mins after the bell and usually rushing in at school finishing time rambling on about how busy they are and there is not enough time in the day.

I only work 16 hours a week and still manage to get everything done and a meal on the table.

So the question is ''Are people that work more organized?''

OP posts:
NimpyWindowmash · 28/01/2011 22:59

Can I just check, does putting a meal on the table include alphabetti spaghetti?

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 23:00

nah - I don't have any important commitments.

Oh fuck - what was that someone was saying about Parkinsons theory or law or something and using the time you have available - just realised I haven't done the church newsletter yet Wink

Cleofartra · 28/01/2011 23:00

YANBU

I'm one of those mothers.

The reason I'm always flying in through the school gates at the last minute is because I like to lay in bed reading of a morning. I also like an afternoon nap.

Grin

I just pretend I'm busy to hide how lazy and self indulgent I am.

fit2drop · 28/01/2011 23:07

Matchbox , you said you opened this thread for debate.Well its good to speak your mind but surely its best to make sure your mind has something WORTH transmitting to your f*cking mouth in the first place.
I have truly tried to see things from your point of view, but iseriously cannot get my head that far up my arse.
Matchbox don't take yourself so seriously, nobody else does. Wink

matchbox20 · 29/01/2011 07:35

I do not take myself seriously, but do enjoy watching you all fly.

I don't even agree with some of the things I say but hey ho it got over 500 responses.

By the way I am A FREELANCE WRITER, WHICH IS WHY THE SPELLING AND GRAMMER IS SO BAD SO YOU GUYS WOULD'NT GUESS.

BYE FOR NOW BE BACK WHEN I NEED ANOTHER STORY.

OP posts:
Megatron · 29/01/2011 08:19

Wow. HOW SHOCKING! Does anyone really care? Grin

Morloth · 29/01/2011 08:22

DOES THIS MEAN WE CAN HAVE ANOTHER SHOUTY THREAD? I REALLY LIKE THE SHOUTY THREADS!

FREELANCE WRITER DOESN'T MEAN MUCH, I COULD CALL MYSELF A FREELANCE WRITER. JUST BECAUSE YOU WRITE, DOESN'T MEAN ANYONE WANTS TO READ IT.

maxybrown · 29/01/2011 08:23

yawn, wake up saddo

Megatron · 29/01/2011 08:24

DON'T YOU SHOUT AT ME MORLOTH! DON'T YOU REALISE THAT MATCHBOX MAY BE BACK WHEN SHE NEEDS ANOTHER 'STORY'. I'M SCARED I TELL YA.

Morloth · 29/01/2011 08:26

I WONDER HOW DESPERATE YOU HAVE TO BE FOR IDEAS BEFORE YOU START TROLLING MOTHERING FORUMS?

Megatron · 29/01/2011 08:28

I GUESS WHEN YOU'RE WRITING HARD HITTING ARTICLES FOR 'TAKE A BREAK' OR 'CHAT'.

maxybrown · 29/01/2011 08:30

Is that why spelt GRAMMAR incorrectly by any chance, ooh you little minx you. What sort of story is it anyway Confused

thumbdabwitch · 29/01/2011 08:32

oh have we been visited by another aspirational delusional? Extremely boring. And ha ha that poor spelling and grammar would disguise a freelance writer.

Ah well, troll on.

matchbox20 · 29/01/2011 08:40

Even being horrible didn't work. There is no story, just a bunch of nattering mums talking drivel.

I thought mumsnet was controversial and lots of different ideas floating around, I was wrong again.

Sorry to take up your time.

OP posts:
TyraG · 29/01/2011 08:41

Couldn't be bothered to read the whole thread. Seems as though OP is really just a troll who will keep posting the same thread over and over until she gets the responses she needs to prove her superiority to the rest of us unworthy wretches.

What I wonder though, if she's such a wonderful mother, why doesn't she homeschool her kids, I mean then she wouldn't have to hand her kids over to someone else, then she could be responsible for their education, being as that she's smarter and better than everyone else.

Ooh, maybe she should start a class to educate the rest of us on how we should be raising our children and sticking it to our husbands/partners.

TandB · 29/01/2011 09:02

OOH! SHOUTY SHOUT SHOUT!!!

It's been ages since we had a shouty thread!

Does anyone else think my fat arse is she a freelance writer? A freelance writer would presumably spell "wouldn't" correctly in her "Aha! You never suspected!" moment.

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 29/01/2011 09:02

Freelance = unemployed

TandB · 29/01/2011 09:03

I am going to call myself a freelance writer. No-one is employing me to write these posts. I must therefore be freelance.

TandB · 29/01/2011 09:05

In fact I might claim to be a freelance High Court judge. Or perhaps a freelance supermodel. Maybe a freelance queen.

maxybrown · 29/01/2011 09:07

ooh I missed the wouldn't spelling.

I am a freelance Mother Wink

GlynistheMenace · 29/01/2011 09:16

MN could be 'contraversial' matchbox but you'll only get new ideas from positive input, not by hurling insults and bullshit.
winding people up to get a rise and therefore some 'interesting ideas' is pretty shallow and smacks of sensationalism.

no wonder you're unemployed freelance

can you point me in the direction of any work you've had published?

Anniegetyourgun · 29/01/2011 09:16

What a relief, it isn't really raising some poor offspring to believe that being late for school is the worst crime possible. With any luck it hasn't even bred at all. I say "it" in a non-gender-specific way rather than a non-species-specific way, in case anyone regards this post as offensive (perish the thought).

The thing that amazes me is the number of posters who did not have the foresight to install self-cleaning skirting boards.

jester68 · 29/01/2011 09:20

YABU

I am a stay at home mum- but also have medical problems. I have never been late to take my daughter to school or pick her up but have been close to it!

Usually when baby decided to have a poo or be sick all over herself just before we leave the house.

There are a couple of mums who are always late. One is a sahm with 3 children, the other is actually a working mum who sees no problem in picking her child up 15-30mins late EVERYDAY because she gets held up at work. Is the fact that the one woman who is late has to work acceptable then? Because she has a VALID? reason?

Is it fair that the teacher has to wait around at the end of the day for certain mothers? regardless of why they are late

ScaredOfCows · 29/01/2011 09:44

You say you'll be back when you need another story - what 'story' did you get out of this? Confused

TandB · 29/01/2011 10:40

Scaredofcrows - are you kidding?

It is an epic tale of prejudice and woe. The protagonist is a towering figure who struggles against almost unsurmountable odds to overcome....

Oh hang on a second.....
