To laugh at women that don't work but........

To laugh at women that don't work but rush to the school gates 10 mins after the bell and usually rushing in at school finishing time rambling on about how busy they are and there is not enough time in the day.

I only work 16 hours a week and still manage to get everything done and a meal on the table.

So the question is ''Are people that work more organized?''

fifi25 · 28/01/2011 14:41

Im leaving at 2.55 instead of 3.05 to get there 5 mins early instead of 5 mins late, work out who works and who doesnt and post the stats on here, i thought the neglecter comment was funny ha ha

narkypuffin · 28/01/2011 14:42

Honeydragon it's a little salty but that's all part of it's charm? Bacon. Obviously Grin

agedknees · 28/01/2011 14:42

So how do you know SAHM does not:

volunteer in a hospice
volunteer in a charity shop
have elderly parents to look after
have sick children at home

Anything that can make her late to pick up her dc from school?

Being a parent is hard enough without other people judging what you do. I would say to the OP, mind your own business.

slightlymad72 · 28/01/2011 14:43

I'm going to the supermarket to get something for tea and then will probably meet DS from school, do you think that will please matchbox? I promise I will try to be on time.

I never take my ds to school. I get someone else to do it for me.

And I only do it so I get more time to sit here reading this type of shite spouted from the likes of you Grin

Well I may still be here despite having a DC at school - school club thing/activity tonight so have an extra hour so I can plan how I can be late today rather than just let it happen Grin.

Younger two are parked in front of T.V and toys due to repeated very prolonged tantrums from both as I dared asked them to do things - like put some pants on, eat dinner, go the way I am walking, not to break stuff ect...

Competitive suffering. Only on MN.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 14:55

Confused - wtf are you talking about pascoe??

Arneb · 28/01/2011 14:58

I am not suffering pascoe28 I am managing to ignore CBeebies in the back ground Grin.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 14:58

likewise Arneb Grin - you learn to block it out.

Have last coffee before I'm late off for the school run

JamieLeeCurtis · 28/01/2011 15:00

I'm suffering. I just made the mistake of watching "May The Best House Win". Total bitch-fest

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 15:01

lol Jamie - actually the only thing I struggle to block out is that god awful Captain Mack - that's just odd

YABVU

You have no idea what other mums have on in their lives.

To be honest, if you think such things are amusing, you must lead a dull life.

Honeydragon · 28/01/2011 15:16

< hands prize of small rubber duck to baroque as ultimate school run chickener>

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 15:20

yay Grin

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 28/01/2011 15:22

and I'm pleased to report that DS2 is showing no ill effects from me not already standing outside his classroom door when they started letting them out Wink

uggmum · 28/01/2011 15:28

My ds finishes school at 15.00, he only likes to go into the cloakroom to get his coat when all the other children are gone. Therefore, I am the only parent still there at 3.20 waiting outside for him.

I can quite happily arrive really late on the basis that ds will not be upset or think I am a bad mother.

By the way, I work 14 hours a week. I fit my hours around school and even go to work when my dc are asleep at night. Is that ok op!
