Her dh can cook and her babies are sooooo cute. Plus she's probably rich.

Go on Trillian. Start the Pagwatch thread. I will join in.

I know someone who once passed Pagwatch in the street and her skirt was too short. And she had a really supercilious smile. She only pretends to be nice.

figcake · 21/12/2010 13:36

I cannot believe this thread is still going as it is not really based on anything really. There do seem to be a couple of people on it who know her personally and I am even more sure than before that she is a MNer so it would be nice if it finished before Christmas as it could spoil the mood chez les Olives

figcake · 21/12/2010 13:39

I would add that she really seems to have irked a number of people despite playing it as bland and neutral as is possible given that she is attached to a pretty opinionated DH.

However, I am not going to over-compensate by describing her children as being indescribably beautiful in appearance as I genuinely think that would be compromising on the truth.

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 21/12/2010 13:50

Oh goodness, I envy her. Who wouldn't?

Four lovely DCs, no money worries (or I imagine no money worries), doesn't have to do a dull, mind numbing job. And she's so young that if she did feel like becoming an astrophysicist she's plenty of time to do that.

I don't fancy her husband much, but I sincerely doubt she'd fancy mine, either Xmas Grin

jessiealbright · 21/12/2010 13:52

I know next to nothing about her. Given that she is married to a famous chef, this leads me to admire her, as I'm sure the tabloids would love to stick the boot into her if they could, for the sake of sales.

She must therefore be very intelligent and/or very nice.

muminthemiddle · 21/12/2010 13:52

I don't envy anyone who calls their kids such stupid names.

TwilaAndTinsel · 21/12/2010 13:55

I suppose this is the wrong time to bring up the MN post from a couple of years ago about Mrs Oliver turning up to the "second interview" at an exclusive private school having not even been to the first one when two places came up unexpectedly and getting them both.

Very fair and down-to-earth. The parents who had turned up including the MNer in question were not very impressed.

Wish I could find it but it was probably in Chat and was only an anecdote on a thread anyway.

Probably an Islington Myth Xmas Grin

BelligerentYhoULE · 21/12/2010 13:55

I had no idea that she had FOUR children! I take it all back - if she has four children and can still look so beautiful, she is brilliant.

I always loved the name Daisy Boo - what are the others called?

JenaiMarrsTartanFoxCube · 21/12/2010 13:57

They're pretty normal, if uncommon, names in the scheme of things. Poppy and Daisy are hardly kerrrazzzeee, are they? Petal and Buddy are hardly common, but they'd barely raise an eyebrow round my way.

CommanderDrool · 21/12/2010 14:01

I doubt Jools gives a shit what people on mumsnet think.

Let's face it, she has a lifestyle most of us will never have, financial security for her family, and is still young enough to forge a career if she desires.

I do not think her book was well written, though the baby is cute.

Housewife2010 · 21/12/2010 14:36

Did anyone notice that last night's Jamie's Christmas was a repeat from last year, even though it wasn't advertised as such? Very disappointing for me. I sat down to watch it, decided & thoght it was familiar. I realised when he called the baby, Petal not Buddy.
Incidentally, I liked Jools' book. I think they seem a very nice couple and although I'd hate him being away most of the time, I'd love all the money, the 2 gorgeous homes and despite all the fabulous food still being able to stay a willowy size 10!

mrskbpw · 21/12/2010 14:51

What a strange thread. FWIW I would consider myself a feminist, and I really like Jamie Oliver and lovely Jools. I think she's marvellous. I like how she's very honest and straightforward. And their kids are gorgeous. I'd like four kids but as I'm getting on a bit, I think I'll have to stop at two...

fezsarecool · 21/12/2010 14:59

So sad to see this after the recent webchat where hundreds of you were gagging to speak to him...

Granted, maybe it wasn't this lot of nasty individuals exactly, you don't know good value when you see it.

PfftTheMagicDragon · 21/12/2010 16:04
