Her dh can cook and her babies are sooooo cute. Plus she's probably rich.

I was given her book when pregnant and I found it terribly smug TBH. Private midwife, baby clothes from GAP/Next etc. etc. Couldn't have been further removed from the lives of most women/mothers, but she seemed oblivious to this in penning the book.

Not Envy at all! (Grin)

lololizzy · 20/12/2010 21:40

am not strictly a feminist just meant i was coming across maybe a bit feminist sorry didn't mean to offend anyone..i was actually sticking up for her in a way because she is only known (in public anyway) as her connection to him. Like i said..if she's happy....if not, then i feel for her. I've seen docu's on him and i got the impression that life wasnt great for her..v lonely.
Consider myself told off ok!

EvilTwinsAteRudolph · 20/12/2010 21:41

godspeed - no! You misunderstand me. I just mean that people tend to assume that slebs automatically have nannies and therefore they look amaaazing and do fuck all. Jules looked tired, which is how I imagine most women with 6 month old babies (not to mention 3 others) look.

No smuggery here.

LeakMyWiki · 20/12/2010 21:41

I reckon she is a hard worker. I would really struggle if my dh was away as much as he clearly is. Money or no money. Who knows what is going on behind closed doors, but I don't get a subservient/doormat thing at all - have always thought he seemed v proud of her.

PussinJimmyChoos · 20/12/2010 21:41

I am laughing at the making a mess while eating carpet comment....maybe he will also ask for seasoning with it??

Xmas Grin

He's probably hardly ever home..not a lifestyle choice I'd enjoy, regardless of the money

cannyfraddock · 20/12/2010 21:43

What wigglesrock said. Yuk!

JingleBelleDameSansMerci · 20/12/2010 21:46

Not wishing to twist this thread further from how it started but I am a feminist and I would never, ever look down my nose at someone who chooses to be a SAHM.

flippinggorgeous · 20/12/2010 21:48

She seems lovely, no doubt she has her close friends and family and is happy with her lot. There is no shame in wanting to be a wife and mother, and the fact she may seem a little 'dull' (not my word) is probably because she is a private person, unlike many slebs and their wives. Good for her, I say.

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 21:48

Good lord.

She had a career, fairly lucrative, as a model, before marrying him.

She has considerable personal wealth.

She has 4 children. She is "at home" bringing them up but it should be remembered she is currently on maternity leave and if she was "working" at the moment she would no doubt be getting critisised for that.

She is a director of more than one company, despite this.

I am Shock at some of the ignorance on this thread.

TheCrackFox · 20/12/2010 21:49

If someone offered me a stack of cash to write a smug baby book and a twee children's story I would snatch the money out of their hand. Grin Most of us would, surely?

Whitethorn · 20/12/2010 21:51

I'd love her lifestyle - home, money, cars etc etc BUT not her husband, couldnt fancy him. She seems nice though

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 20/12/2010 21:52

Roffle at the feminism on this thread.

I should think Jules has a fairly tough life, actually, with all those very young children and a husband who is hardly ever there.

Am quite certain that the money cushions the blow a great deal and therefore her life is nowhere near as hard as a less well-off largely single parent of 4.

Presumably if she wanted to wohm she could do that too - and may well do so in the future.

I don't think its very dignified to take the piss out of someone (however much you may dislike them) for a physical problem over which they have no control.

cannyfraddock · 20/12/2010 21:55

She may well be all the things stated previously but she still has to fuck Mr Oliver. Yuk!

poshsinglemum · 20/12/2010 21:55

Oh I feel all horrid and unsisterly now. I will keep my jealousies to myself in future.

OP posts:
TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 21:56

She doesn't have to fuck anybody she doesn't want to, Cranny, thanks very much! Same as you!

Oh no way would i be her, imagiane having to kiss (and worse) Fat Lipped Smug Twat Jamie Arse Oliver. Nope I don't envy her, not one little bit

poshsinglemum · 20/12/2010 21:58

It's not meant to be a feminist thread. She, She is beautiful she has beautiful children and gets to eat lovely food all day.(in my imagination) Jamie is a decent guy even though he's not my usual type.
I'm not suggesting she dosn't have hardships etc.
It was meant to be a bit more lighthearted than this people. Over and out.

OP posts:
TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 21:58

She doesn't have to kiss him. She wants to kiss him. She LOVES him

Biscuit
LeakMyWiki · 20/12/2010 22:01

Jools Tatty, it's ok, they're all just jealous of the pretty babies, yummy food and devoted husband Wink

but could you ask Jamie to please stop say Bruvver. I like him, I do, but the Bruvver-ing. It grates.

MooMooFarm · 20/12/2010 22:01

I don't get this thread. To answer the OP - no, fair enough to be a bit envious, as you say, she's rich, her DH can cook and her babies are lovely.

But why all the bitchyness? If she's happy, good for her. I'm sure she doesn't give a toss whether other people fancy her husband or not - and there's worse things than having a husband with a fat tongue Grin

swanandduck · 20/12/2010 22:02

Are you all married to George Clooney lookalikes. I'm sure Jules would find many of our partners deeply unattractive. I'm sure I would see nothing to swoon about in many of your dhs and you wouldn't see anything special about mine. What childish comments.

jellybeans · 20/12/2010 22:02

'What does she actually do? Brings up 4 children.'
Very good point.

bibbitybobbitysantahat · 20/12/2010 22:03

PSM - I don't think anyone has a problem with your op. Its the posts that came after it that people have taken exception to. You haven't done anything wrong, no need to be so defensive.

SpringHeeledJack · 20/12/2010 22:03

my dp has a fat tongue and a fat arse

...oh, and he can't cook
