Her dh can cook and her babies are sooooo cute. Plus she's probably rich.

I "envy" anyone who can have as many children as they want tbh.

I HATE these threads. Posh Spice, Coleen, now Jules Oliver. I reckon many are just jealous of their money and lifestyles so desperately seek something/anything to make themselves feel smug and superior.

Maybe these women LOVE their husbands. Maybe they are just doing what they need to do to make themselves happy in life, just like the rest of us. They are not hurting anyone!

So leave them alone and mind your own fecking business. How would you like someone to come on here to discuss with the world at large how disgusting and horrible your dh was? I've certainly read about some RIGHT bastards on here. Why not reserve your thoughts for those women.

CommanderDrool · 20/12/2010 22:07

I envy her contentment with being a SAHM, her financial security and lovely lifestyle. And if they really love each other then who am I to bitch about it?

I cannot believe Tana Ramsey hasn't left him yet, tho.

cannyfraddock · 20/12/2010 22:07

The names canny by the way, and the op was asking if she was alone in being envious of Jules Oliver. I simply (and playfully) stated that i wasn't at all envious as i didn't fancy fucking her husband.
So get over yourselves all the "she doesn't have to...." posters and take a bit of banter for the love of the wee man!

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 22:08

She has her "own" money - not that it matters, they are a partnership.

She has 4 children, she had her last one 4 months ago, if she worked, she'd be criticised. She is still breastfeeding, FFS.

She loves her husband. She is not made to fuck him. She is not obliged to kiss him. She loves him.

She most likely would not look twice at the husbands of those who would not look twice at Jamie, which is fine - if everyone fancied the same person, life would be very stressful indeed.

She does quite a bit of charity stuff, with very little publicity surrounding it. She is actually quite busy.

She is a director of more than one company, and had more influence over the changes made to school dinners and new trends in children's food than you might think.

This is UNBELIEVABLE.

figcake · 20/12/2010 22:10

I reckon that she is a MN so will be reading this thread at some point.
Does anybody know anything about her modelling career as I have never come across any evidence of it?

cannyfraddock · 20/12/2010 22:12

What is UNBELIEVABLE is you lot actually taking this thread so seriously!
Bite ma bum,I'm off to find people with a sense of perspective.(and humour)

bupcakesandcunting · 20/12/2010 22:12

Yeah but she IS dull though, Tatty.

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 22:13

No, Cranny, at 21:55 you said "She may well be all the things stated previously but she still has to fuck Mr Oliver. Yuk!"

No, she doesn't, because he is not a rapist.

Her modelling career was mainly beauty stuff - that means close up face stuff, mainly - hair stuff (lots of hair magazines), some catalogue as well.

No doubt some will scoff at that too, being in demand for Milan fashion week and all Grin

Look, Cupcakes, I'm not going to defend her to you if you've met her and found her dull, so be it. Can't win them all. What was it about her specifically you found dull?

BrandyAlexander · 20/12/2010 22:16

What Tatty said. Feel sorry for PSM's quite innocent OP being hijacked with the vile comments.

ReindeerBollocks · 20/12/2010 22:20

How do we honestly know if she is dull though?

In her mummy free time she might let loose, get drunk and dance on tables, and if this was done with close friends how would we know?

And even if she doesn't get drunk and act a fool, what has she done that is so wrong, to justify all the criticism she receives?

flibbertigibbert · 20/12/2010 22:20

DP has worked with JO and he's apparently a very unpleasant fellow in real life. And my DP is much better looking. So no, I don't envy her.

plainjanesuperbrain · 20/12/2010 22:20

I like her- she doesn't have anything to prove- if she wants to stay at home and make babies then that is up to her! As women we all have the right to make choices. A career doesn't make you any more or less worthwhile than any other woman.

bupcakesandcunting · 20/12/2010 22:21

I've not met her. She just comes over as being a bit dull.

But I am sure I am wrong and that she is wonderful and shits out Faberge eggs whilst secretly working on a cure for cancer and raising her photogenic children.

FrustratedHippy · 20/12/2010 22:24

i have a lot more respect for her than most slebs

I actually think she would be good 'friend' material

Jealous the lot'y'a

figcake · 20/12/2010 22:25

Tatty - are you Jules Oliver or do you know her? Confused

I think some of the comments were a bit harsh - I would love to be a SAHM living in Primrose Hill with a beautiful house in the countryside for weekends and my mother helping out - regardless of how much DH was contributing non-financially.

FrustratedHippy · 20/12/2010 22:30

she's a happily married woman with four lovely bairns. I think it's the fact that she obviously has grey matter that scares a lot of you

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 22:30

I am not Jools Oliver.

But I agree with FrustratedHippy, she is good "friend" material Wink

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 22:30

I'm stepping away from this thread now.

bupcakesandcunting · 20/12/2010 22:38

So we are now jealous of JO because she seemingly has a few braincells? Confused

I think that I speak truthfully when I say that most people on this thread seem literate, whether you agree with their opinion or not. Who would feel threatened by intelligence? I'm not keen as she seems a little aloof and smug. That is just my perception and I don't expect everyone else to subscribe to it. There are plenty of male celebs that I dislike, yet who would accuse me of being jealous of say Robbie Williams if I said I didn't like him. I don't like this thing where a woman can only be not keen on another woman unless she is jealous of her. One can dislike someone for reasons as simple as a personality one finds disagreeable. If the jealousy thing was true then how do you explain my massive girl crushes on Nigella and Gisele? Wink

chipmonkey · 20/12/2010 22:38

Well, I like Jamie a lot and the few times I've seen Jools on the telly, I thought she seemed lovely.

Those of you saying she is "only known" for being Jamie's wife, what are you "known" for.
I know that my family and friends know me for who I am, my patients know me as their optometrist, a few MNers and twitterers "know" me although they've never met me. All fairly unremarkable, same as most people. If dh became famous ( hey, we can live in hope!Grin) would people still say, I was "only known" for being his wife? Should Jamie only have married someone who was a famous actress, or singer or Page 3 girl?
