Her dh can cook and her babies are sooooo cute. Plus she's probably rich.

I don't mean jealous in a horrid way. I mean as in she's a lucky girl isn't she kind of way.

I know a couple that I would describe as having a "Jamie Oliver" lifestyle (all friends for dinner casually and stylishly, etc). I couldn't do it - too bloody tiring to be that cheerful all the time.

I agree with Jack, they're nice but I don't really envy her.

I'd rather be Nigella!

mssoul · 20/12/2010 21:31

I admire Jamie; he's got guts. He raised awareness and tried to make a difference.

I bet jules has a wonderful life and I think they seem a nice couple.

Four children who I'm guessing she cares for all the time as her husband is off conquering the food world. She must work bloody hard.

I am not jealous but I admire any woman who can take on the feat of raising four children. Posters on this thread included.

poshsinglemum · 20/12/2010 21:32

I don't mean it to be snide. I am genuinely envious. Who wouldn't be? i didmn't say she was horrid at all. She seems lovely.

I have learnt, from experience, not to judge anyone else's life by the cover. There's no such thing as a free trip through life, everyone has problems.

lololizzy · 20/12/2010 21:33

True but no one seems to know her in her own right, very much in his shadow..If she's happy with that, fine. I wouldn't be..thousands would.

poshsinglemum · 20/12/2010 21:34

Sorry Jules. Mabe I shouldn't have started this thread.

I didn't realise being a feminist meant slagging off other women. How empowering. Hmm

They seem like a nice enough couple.

Er- when did I start slagging her off? Being jealous is natural isn't it?

OP posts:
MiasMARY · 20/12/2010 21:36

I think they are both lovely :)

That baby (petal or buddy ?) was seriously squishable. CUTE!

violethill · 20/12/2010 21:36

Hmm - don't think any of us really know what life is like for any other couple.

And I'd much rather have my life than one which seems to essentially revolve around a husband. They don't seem to have very equal roles - he must be away half the time, leaving her to do 99% of childcare. Not my idea of a great partnership.

But as I say, none of us really know what's going on behind closed doors anyway.

He might have a very small willy, for instance Grin

poshsinglemum · 20/12/2010 21:36

As many people on my sisterhood thread informed me.

OP posts:
bupcakesandcunting · 20/12/2010 21:36

She is so dull. Same as Tana Ramsay, simpering, dull and just a bit, well, meh.

poshsinglemum · 20/12/2010 21:37

When people are jealous of me I take it as a compliment!

OP posts:
TheCrackFox · 20/12/2010 21:38

Sorry, Posh I didn't mean you - lololizzy claimed she was a feminist which gave her the right to state that Jules was "living off someone else's money". I thought your OP was quite sweet.

Am watching Jamie now. Cackling at figs served with "some Nice Ham" Xmas Grin

Jules comes across at rather high-maintenance in her book but I am sure she has mellowed since.

BCBG · 20/12/2010 21:38

God what a vile thread masquerading as something else.... Another one hiding it Hmm

MsKLo · 20/12/2010 21:38

but lololizzy so what if she is famous via him? that is how celebrity is these days! if people dont like the book, they won't buy it! i am not into these celeb books but there is a demand for them and that is why she gets the book deal!

i bet many many ladies would take advantage of what they were offered in her position and she never seems to really exploit that position and in interviews i have read she says all she ever really wanted was to be a mummy and that is fine and her right as a modern woman!

taffetazatyousantaclaus · 20/12/2010 21:38

what swanandduck said, I never envy anyone. You never, ever have the full picture. Make the best of and appreciate what you have.

lololizzy 'but what does she actually DO?? She's living off someone else's money.'

Doh - maybe she is bringing up her own kids instead of paying someone else to do it for her and maybe her and her husband respect that
