The question is, how much does it affect you?
If I have a largish glass of wine I feel sober, not even tipsy. I would feel ok to drive (though wouldn't, obviously). The glass is just nice, a relaxant, enough to take the edge off.
BUT - and it's a big but - I feel so so so so so much worse on the morning after wine nights than on mornings after alcohol-free nights.
It's not a hangover, not anything like, but it is subtley - but significantly - different to having no residual alcohol in my system.
I only noticed this when I made an effort to keep several nights a a week alcohol- free and was able to track the difference in how I felt physically and mentally the next day. Up until then I was so used to always having had a glass the night before that I thought how I felt was normal IYSWIM?
Which is a long-winded way of saying; yes, a large glass a night is too much. Sorry.
