But how do you know who "legitimately" needs it? Do you have x-ray vision? Are mental health issues included within your personal boundaries?
If person A was sat down, on a good day, having taken multiple pain killers and worked themselves up for the previous two weeks to going out, you wouldn't know they was ill. You would see a young woman with a toddler, maybe looking a bit tired, and a bit ditzy because she forgets her words, but all the same, making conversation, laughing and seemingly "normal".
If you saw person B, they would be bed-bound, unable to wash themselves, unable to eat, having lost so much weight because they have lacked the strength to do so much as swallow or chew, unable to talk on somedays, nearly crying with frustration when they can talk, because they can't remember what they were going to say, but not crying, because its just too paiinful. If they do manage to get out of bed, they have to be carried, or crawl along the floor.
Would you say A was not legitimate?
