...and have rotten eggs and tomatos thrown at them.
How dare they go on holiday and be allowed to have christmas presents etc
They should live on bread and dripping.

OP posts:
judasisacarrot · 03/12/2010 18:19

Of course. they are commiting benefit fraud. Which is an entirely different thing altogether. buut lets not let a few technicalities get in the way of your ignorant fascism. i take it your just jealous because you can't afford a plasma tv and 4 holidays a year huh Hmm

judasisacarrot · 03/12/2010 18:21
  • Attendance Allowance
    • Carer's Allowance
    • Constant Attendance Allowance (paid under Industrial Injuries or War Pensions schemes)
    • Contribution-based Employment and Support Allowance (once the main phase of the benefit is entered after the first 13 weeks of claim)
    • Disability Living Allowance
    • Incapacity Benefit at the long-term rate
    • Industrial Death Benefit (for widows or widowers)
    • Mobility Supplement
    • Pension Credit - the guarantee element
    • State Pension (including Graduated Retirement Benefit)
    • Severe Disablement Allowance (transitionally protected)
    • Unemployability Supplement or Allowance (paid under Industrial Injuries or War Pensions schemes)
    • War Disablement Pension if over State Pension age
    • War Widow's Pension
    • Widowed Mother's Allowance
    • Widowed Parent's Allowance
    • Widow's Pension

so which one of these do you think is unworthy of an extra £10 at christmas then cupcakes? Which one of these do you think should be out scrubbing toilets instead?

cupcakebakerer · 03/12/2010 18:33

So I think it's you that needs to get your facts straight then - quite a few more categories there than you suggested hey? And yes I do think a 'Christmas bonus' is excessive to be honest - they don't happen in all private sector jobs or many public sector jobs. And you are showing yourself as extremely naive to think that all those people who receive those categories of benefits are doing so with good cause. Are you on benefits?

MemooMerrilyOnHigh · 03/12/2010 18:38

Cupcake, you're really not a very nice person are you. You seriously begrudge someone an extra £10 at Christmas?

SerendipitousHarlot · 03/12/2010 18:39

judasisacarrot is this not a joke thread Hmm

And wtf is a Judas Chair? Of course I could JFGI, but I'd rather someone explained it to me gently, I am tired Grin

HecTheHallsWithBoughsOfHolly · 03/12/2010 18:40

It's a chair that it would be very unwise to actually sit down on.

On account of the great big spike that is the seat...

SerendipitousHarlot · 03/12/2010 18:43

Shock Sounds delightful. Yes. That's what they need, the bludgers.

judasisacarrot · 03/12/2010 18:47

yes it was but cupcakes was being a twunt so needed that clarifying.

Whether there is a small minority that claim Illegally that does not mean that those who do recieve those benefits legitimatly should be made to suffer.

the only benefits that recieve the "bonus" are those where working is very rarely an option. they are unable to alter thier situation and are placed in a position of hardhsip through no fault of their own, ie death/disability.

lie i say, i think you have a little bit of someting on your shoulder there cupcakes. maybe potatoe, slightly fried perhaps.

Oh and whether im on benefits (im not) has nothing to do with the fact that you are a twunt

cupcakebakerer · 03/12/2010 18:51

Oh God a random, faceless person on an chat thread thinks I'm not a very nice person. How will I sleep? A little friendly £10 Christmas payment times by the millions on these benefits soon adds up. It's just the kind of payment the Government needs to be prioritising in the current climate hey? And you still haven't answered - are you on benefits?

cupcakebakerer · 03/12/2010 18:55

You are so cool repeatedly using the word twunt. I'm wounded.

judasisacarrot · 03/12/2010 19:01

learn to read darling, i did indeed point out in my last post that no im not on benefits.

£10 which can be used on transport to visit family, to add to the gas bill, to buy some extra food ..whatever.

to some it is a huge difference.

not that you will see that because your veiw is limited to your colon

ShittySnowyDays · 03/12/2010 19:05

I want £10 humph.

SantasMooningArse · 03/12/2010 19:10

WRT to dla it's considered the least fraudulenty claimed benefit; tye fake-disability payments people refer yto tend to be on ESA.
DLA requires a many pages application form, backed up by repreated medical evidence: I suggest anyone who ahs never claimed it gets a copy of the form, it's a nasty chore.

ESA OTOH until recently was awarded on a GP's say so.

HTH

SantasMooningArse · 03/12/2010 19:11

(Thread hidden- it;s grea when a posting style alerts you to someone who name changes but doesn;t change their posting style and you know you just don;t want to go there. ta, cupcake)

TrinityMotherOfRhinos · 03/12/2010 19:11

I get widowed parents allowance which as an aside I think is a fucking shit name for it

cupcakebakerer · 03/12/2010 19:15

I think it is very telling that I have not needed to resort to namecalling and insults...

cupcakebakerer · 03/12/2010 19:19

What do you mean Santas? I've never changed my name since I've joined mumsnet.

I suggest everyone ignore cupcake and get back to discussing the correct plural for veg.

I once worked with a chef who would mis-spell one of the specials every day on purpose because your eye is drawn to the mistake.

cupcakebakerer · 03/12/2010 19:33

Ooh i don't know - perhaps one of the thousands who have recently had their disability benefit taken away following examination? And sorry wewishyou, get on with your hilariously witty banter. My sides are aching.
