elc have removed the pig from the happy land farm set as it may offend some religious groups!- i.e muslim and jewish. so am i wrong to suggest that maybe we should not have farm sets because it could offend veggies, the cows could offend hindus and maybe the sheep could offend the welsh???

this is bloody stupid... our town renamed christmas as fucking winterval!!!!!

And I want to know where the pigs went ..
I've already given the obvious explanation.

GrimmaTheNome · 16/11/2010 18:06

And one with a herd of cows and an AI man.

AnnieLobeseder · 16/11/2010 18:07

Jam then cream, you gentile heathen infidels! Otherwise the cream gets too warm and runny. The jam is insulating, innit!

GrimmaTheNome · 16/11/2010 18:09

Annie, some of these poor deluded fools eat cold scones. I know, its sad.

AnnieLobeseder · 16/11/2010 18:09

Cold scones? But, but, but.... why?

Tidey · 16/11/2010 18:14

God, people dredging up that Winterval crap annoys me. Including Christmas in a season of festivals under the umbrella term of Winterval is NOT the same thing as renaming Christmas.

If it's true that you don't get pigs in a farm set, that is silly though.

And jam, then cream.

I don't want a llama, thanks! But I'll take extra scones with jam then cream.

Annie - maybe cream then jam is a gentile thing?

AnnieLobeseder · 16/11/2010 19:16

Must be.

seeker · 16/11/2010 19:18

Nobody has yet given me permission to undermine Waitrose.

It's jam then cream. Otherwise the jam falls off the cream and anyway it looks silly.

My MIL told me that they weren't allowed to have Christmas lights in Bradford any more. She told me this while standing in Foster Square underneath a sodding great light up sign saying Happy Christmas. ANd she is, while admittedly as mad as a box of frogs, a well intentioned, reasonably well informed woman.

seeker · 16/11/2010 19:19

In my case, jam them cream is a Humanist thing!

mathanxiety · 16/11/2010 19:35

It's jam then cream. You have to get the jam off the spoon and adhering to the scone, and this is well nigh impossible if there's a blob of cream there already. The cream can be lightly dolloped on top of the jam.

ensure · 16/11/2010 19:35

I wish I knew how to link to pictures because I have found a lovely one of a mini pig drinking a cup of tea. I'm sure the scone is just out of shot.

kingbeat23 · 16/11/2010 19:36

copy the email address from your address book, paste it into the message box and add and on either side of the paste

AbsofCroissant · 16/11/2010 19:47

sneeker Grin

well sneeker, by the power invested in me by the not so-secret MN Jewish/Muslim conspiracy group that I elbowed my way into, I grant you permission to undermine Waitrose. Only not too much.

AbsofCroissant · 16/11/2010 19:49

seeker sorry Blush

AlistairSim · 16/11/2010 19:50

riven - Please would you use your special Muslim-powers to get rid of Peppa?

I find her twee voice so grating.

I'd be ever so grateful.

MumNWLondon · 16/11/2010 19:54

WTF?
I am jewish and my kids love peppa pig.
Just not to eat.

wem · 16/11/2010 19:56

Haven't read the whole thread, but I bought a happy land farm recently and I wondered why there wasn't a pig, when there was a pig sty and a button that made pig noises.

I want my pig!

wem · 16/11/2010 19:56

ahem. DD's pig.
