I don't understand it ........ Every one I have heard moans on about being worse off under the Coalition ... why do they all think the money to bail us out of Browns' catastrophic fuck up should come from somebody else? don't they get it? we all have to pay now.

And why oh why would anybody in their right mind want Labour in again after what they have done to our country??

I am at a loss

I'm too fick to understand your op.

Mumcentreplus · 08/10/2010 23:38

uh huh...Hmm

gaelicsheep · 08/10/2010 23:39

I don't think it's just Labour supporters tbh. A good few Tory/Lib Dem supporters are also having a good moan as soon as the cuts start to affect them personally.

It's exactly the same at a local level. No one wants council tax to go up, then they all moan when services are cut.

People of every political persuasion want to have their cake and eat it.

MissAnneElk · 08/10/2010 23:39

Well I'm old enough to remember the Thatcher government.
In fact so old, I'm off to bed and I'll leave you to it.

thewook · 08/10/2010 23:39

Gordon Brown caused a global recession?! The BASTARD!

Tortington · 08/10/2010 23:39

i thought it was the banks that were the cause of the economic collapse

am i over simplifying - if so, help me out with info

Mimile · 08/10/2010 23:39

with you on this one; but you are not going to be miss popular...

ItsGrimUpNorth · 08/10/2010 23:40

Depends.

Depends whether you value Trident over child poverty.

Depends whether you value British troops in Germany at the same cost of child benefit for every child in this country every year.

Depends whether you believe the banks worldwide had a massive role to play in the major international economic crises.....

Depends whether you are a bit bl**dy thick yourself to believe the sexist, anti family claptrap the Tories come out with, day after day, nay, generation after generation..

Do start thinking critically, lovey, instead of believing what those rich oiks tell you and assuming everyone else must be thick. Dearie me.

HalfTermHero · 08/10/2010 23:43

I think what you are trying to say is that you somehow feel that GB gave a licence to the Tory party for them to act like a bunch of cunts.

Yabu. And a blinkered fucking selfish fool to boot.

A society that cannot assist, respect or muster empathy for the needs of strangers is one that has foretold it's own sorry end.

salizchap · 08/10/2010 23:44

Yeh, i'm a bit fik me, innit, cos i dun wanna end up unemployed like, innit? Thats real dum, innit. Like, when dave takes me job, ill can syne on innit, wont hav to work no more. Thats, like, wicked, innit!

Blackeyeddog · 08/10/2010 23:44

I also recall Thatcher's government. It was hell. I can see this dimwit Cameron plodding down the same self serving route.

massivemammaries · 08/10/2010 23:45

@mimile .... not too worried about being miss popular ..... like watching all the thickos spouting off actually

pourmeanotherglass · 08/10/2010 23:45

YABU

Hedgeblunder · 08/10/2010 23:46

Right - Gordon brown did not cause the recession.
Sub prime lending caused the recession.
This is because banks lent to people that coulnt pay it back because they thougt they could just whip them with charges and make even more money.
These banks then SOLD those customers accounts to other banks, the customers then defaulted on the money alot and so the banks who bought the accounts lost money.

The banks lost so much money it meant we wet in real danger of losing all of our actual savings/current account balances.
We had to buy out the banks because the top 6 % of rich would lose a very large percentage of their funds

I seriously think economics should be compulsory so I don't have to listen to monkeys throwing shit at Gordon brown all day.

GrimmaTheNome · 08/10/2010 23:46

I'm old enough to remember both Thatcher and the era of strikes and work-to-rules before.

A plague on both their houses.

No, all Labour supporters aren't thick. Party supporters of all sorts are opportunistic.

For instance, yesterday heard someone blaming the need for public sector pension reform on 'the bankers'. Hiss boo. Conveniently forgetting that this issue has been brewing since long before the banking crisis. The private sector started shutting down final salary schemes ages ago; the public sector should have faced actuarial reality then too.

thewook · 08/10/2010 23:46

Oh massive you are not coming across well

Hedgeblunder · 08/10/2010 23:47

We were* sorry

FunnysInTheGarden · 08/10/2010 23:48

yep. I'm as thick as pig shit. Global economic crisis anyone?

HalfTermHero · 08/10/2010 23:49

I don't think that Massive has an A Level, let alone a degree, lol Grin.

DuelingFanjo · 08/10/2010 23:49

YABU, that is all.

gaelicsheep · 08/10/2010 23:49

At the risk of giving credence to a bit of a silly OP, isn't it the case that if GB hadn't gone on a spending spree in the good times we'd have been better placed to deal with the recession? Or is that a Tory myth?

taintedpaint · 08/10/2010 23:50

Oh my. YABVU. And deliberately inflammatory. Biscuit
