Obviously not to playgroups etc, but I've got a baby at home and don't think I can cope otherwise. Is there anywhere we can safely go where there won't be lots of kids/pregnant women?

sticking point for me is if ss did re-register to come on mn for real, given the banning history, why not just send mnhq a quick message to clarify, all this could have been avoided.

Northernlurker · 03/10/2010 11:42

That's not a sticking point - if that's what happened then she must have been desperate and wouldn't want to risk them chucking her out immediately.

thankyou lonein thats what I believed as when I get wi fi on my monile it says obtaining IP address from (my broadband provider). I basically have a wireless router which anyone can access with the WAP code. (which only I have!!)

I hope all the mummies from the bereavment thread are OK this morning. It is you I am thinking about at this difficult time as it is your friends identity thats being questioned. I do hope we all get some anwers soon as I know I for one have 'talked' to sassy many times on here in response to her threads and ones shes on where Ive given her a personal response. I hope she is OK too.

Pixie - fwiw it believe your correct that she has come back with genuine need and I hope we can support her when this is sorted.

shabbapinkfrog · 03/10/2010 11:53

SOH thank you for your brilliant post - Im touched that you remembered my Mattys theory on life....'We dont live very long do we mam? I think you have to grab every day by the balls and shake it!!' Blush

Trips - thank you xxxx

BalloonSlayer · 03/10/2010 11:56

soggymaltedmilk but what are the odds on SS, WWC and three other names all being allocated the same IP number every time - or a significant number of times - they logged on, if the IP number changes every time?

That's IF that is even being claimed by MNHQ, and there is nothing to say that it is.

Sadly I do think this is most likely to be a case of The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Sad

Wasn't one of WWC's other names another laundry one. DryCleanOnly or something like that.

paisleyleaf · 03/10/2010 12:32

x post SGM

Northernlurker · 03/10/2010 12:34

MNHQ aren't going to say exactly how they reached this conclusion - they've been very clear about that in the past.

deemented · 03/10/2010 12:43

Well, i'm sorry, but i for one need some answers. I know others on the bereavement thread do too.

Sorry if that inconvieniences MNHQ.

Actually, no, i'm not.

thumbwitch · 03/10/2010 12:47

Goodness, this has all gone completely postal, hasn't it - it's taken me hours to catch up with what has happened.

I really hope that it all gets sorted out pronto and that those who have lost their DC can re-find their safe haven.

So :(.

And thank you to all those brave souls who have posted their tragic stories about their own DC and CP - I was aware of some of the dangers of it but have had my awareness raised. Should DS ever contract CP, he will be quarantined fully.

mumoverseas · 03/10/2010 12:48

I think it is all very sad the way that this thread has turned out.
I've read a lot of sassy's posts over recent months and I have no doubt in my mind that she is a genuine bereaved mother. She has lost her precious daughter and has now been banned and is being hounded on her blog.
I don't give a flying fuck if she was once WWC or the Queen of Sheba. She has lost her daughter, her life will never be the same again and now she has lost the wonderful support network of those lovely ladies on the most special thread on MN.

The troll hunters out there should be fucking ashamed of themselves

In this case, there was no hunting - MNHQ told the thread that she was a troll.

zeno · 03/10/2010 12:54

I'd like to know why MNHQ posted to say that it was "highly unlikely" that Sassy's bereavement was really.

Seriously, why would you do that? Even if you suspect foul play, why post it if you don't know for sure?

By all means ban someone - it's your playground forum, but to say, officially, that you doubt her dead daughter is real steps way beyond the bounds of responsible forum administration. You lit the blue touch-paper and then disappeared Justine.

You may feel you have no duty of care to certain individuals. I know for sure you have failed in your duty of care towards a vulnerable group of people who deserve better.

Ask yourself, what would happen on the board if an ordinary MNer posted to say they thought it highly unlikely that some other poster's dead child was for real? Really. Think about that.

Next time you have doubts on the existence of a dead child, at least get your facts sorted before starting a witch hunt.

DirtyMartini · 03/10/2010 12:58

Avril, really glad to see you back although obviously under terrible circumstances. Glad you are ok.
