My fellow MNettes, I put it to you that they Mumsnet) are being thoroughly unreasonable.

Their crime?

To use a Jammy dodger (surely the Prince if not the King of biscuits) as a sign of annoyance.

Look at it... Biscuit.
Imagine that lovely shortbread-y type biscuit with a lovely jammy centre. How can you not be happy thinking about it?

Biscuit

And they're not just a biscuit, oh no!
They've saved the world!

Biscuit

Oh yes, it's true!!!

The Darleks would have had us but for the self-sacrificing Jammy dodger mistaken for a self-destruct button.

Never has so much been owed to so few, in fact, one biscuit.

It's the favorite of millions, so why a "no comment" my friends?

Biscuit

The Jammy dodger speaks loudly indeed.

For quality, for jamminess, for earth!

So why are Mumsnet running this dastardly campaign to do them down?

I put it to you my fellow friends.

Are Mumsnet being unreasonable?

Sorry for long post, but it's v. important!

It's a biscuit that's easily recongiseable as a biscuit though, even when tiny. A digestive would just look like a brown circle, and a chocolate finger would look like a long, thin turd.

'No comment' would surely fit better with a Rich Tea... cheerless, whitish and hard. A product that provides neither nutrition nor pleasure. In short, the 'no comment' of long-life comestibles.

pinkbasket · 22/09/2010 13:20

Me toooo January!!!!
[over excited that someone else made the same mistake emoticon].

Rich Tea would definitely be a better bet. A brown splodge (with Rich Tea on it so we don't mistake it for anything other than the dullest biscuit known to human kind).

I just want a gingerbread man. Don't care what it means frankly.

They won't give me a Friday Night Topic, I deserve something. 6 years I've given you MN. D'ya hear me. 6 bloody years.

AgentZigzag · 22/09/2010 13:45

I can't stand jammy dodgers, they're just too chewy I've never used it in a post though, I've always got a comment.

Although I would like to see a thread which is answered with Biscuit all the way down, without exception. Very cool.

Easywriter · 22/09/2010 13:47

Agentzigzag has lost her/his Jammy dodger cherry!

Bet that felt good (if not a little chewy).

AgentZigzag · 22/09/2010 13:50

I'm a bit ashamed now Blush

But it's only you lot, so what do I care?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 22/09/2010 13:52

Jammydodgers are nasty. The happyfaces with cream in are great but the king of biscuits for me is lemon shortbread.
On a biscuit related theme, a couple of days ago I bought a packet which are rich teaish at the bottom covered in coffee flavoured water ice which is quite thick. I was very disappointed. My memory of them was a much chewier bottom with a really coffee like top. These were insipid and will be going to school with DD in future.
I thought it was a boob too.

Rich Teas are delicious.

They should use a pink wafer. Now they're truly vile.

Easywriter · 22/09/2010 14:03

And distinctive!

In fact there are loads of other, more appropriate biscuits to choose from.

MN are surely being U!

Blatherskite · 22/09/2010 14:05

Why not a custard cream? - Totally boring and pedestrian.

Or a bourbon? - always dry and disappointing.

coraltoes · 22/09/2010 14:11

fig roll

nickelbabe · 22/09/2010 14:13

it's not a sign of annoyance, it's "no comment"

AgentZigzag · 22/09/2010 14:17

I'm sure it's been said before, but what's the point of posting 'no comment' Confused

Surely most people have an opinion on most things, and MN posters aren't usually backward at coming forward.

Easywriter · 22/09/2010 14:19

I'm taking my ball away if the pedants are coming out to play Nickel.

Are they BU or not?

I missed it when Jammy Dodgers saved the world. Was it in a film with Bruce Willis or did it really happen in real life like?

Cor!
