My fellow MNettes, I put it to you that they Mumsnet) are being thoroughly unreasonable.

Their crime?

To use a Jammy dodger (surely the Prince if not the King of biscuits) as a sign of annoyance.

Look at it... Biscuit.
Imagine that lovely shortbread-y type biscuit with a lovely jammy centre. How can you not be happy thinking about it?

Biscuit

And they're not just a biscuit, oh no!
They've saved the world!

Biscuit

Oh yes, it's true!!!

The Darleks would have had us but for the self-sacrificing Jammy dodger mistaken for a self-destruct button.

Never has so much been owed to so few, in fact, one biscuit.

It's the favorite of millions, so why a "no comment" my friends?

Biscuit

The Jammy dodger speaks loudly indeed.

For quality, for jamminess, for earth!

So why are Mumsnet running this dastardly campaign to do them down?

I put it to you my fellow friends.

Are Mumsnet being unreasonable?

You must have been surely Grin

AgentZigzag · 24/09/2010 16:20

Sorry, whether MN is unreasonable, not you.

Easywriter · 24/09/2010 16:33

I knew what you meant Agent ZZ, (we bonded over biscuits dontcha know!)

Incidently, MN are pretending this thread doesn't exist but I know it's because they know that they've gone too far this time and their assualt on the Jammy Dodger/ Fox's biscuit is not just unreasonable, it's plain wrong.

Come on MN HQ, chicken are yer?

I was told as a child that Nice was pronounced like the place in France, but that may have just been an excuse when I objected that they were not, in fact, nice. We were given these as a regular pudding at school, along with a few pieces of apple to help choke them down.

Easywriter · 24/09/2010 22:46

No, you're right Seenyertoes, it is pronounced like the place in France. It would however be more appropriate were it pronounced like that of the little known town 'Solidifed vomit'.

And for all these years I've been thinking that flavor was coconut! Grin
