My fellow MNettes, I put it to you that they Mumsnet) are being thoroughly unreasonable.

Their crime?

To use a Jammy dodger (surely the Prince if not the King of biscuits) as a sign of annoyance.

Look at it... Biscuit.
Imagine that lovely shortbread-y type biscuit with a lovely jammy centre. How can you not be happy thinking about it?

Biscuit

And they're not just a biscuit, oh no!
They've saved the world!

Biscuit

Oh yes, it's true!!!

The Darleks would have had us but for the self-sacrificing Jammy dodger mistaken for a self-destruct button.

Never has so much been owed to so few, in fact, one biscuit.

It's the favorite of millions, so why a "no comment" my friends?

Biscuit

The Jammy dodger speaks loudly indeed.

For quality, for jamminess, for earth!

So why are Mumsnet running this dastardly campaign to do them down?

I put it to you my fellow friends.

Are Mumsnet being unreasonable?

mnabu, i put to you that bourbons are the shite of biscuits

HecateQueenOfWitches · 22/09/2010 14:32

the Biscuit has been used too freely on too many bumsex threads for me to ever take it seriously again.

Or eat one. Hmm

CappuccinoCarrie · 22/09/2010 14:32

I've been wondering why a biscuit is the symbol of no comment, have concluded it must be a way of telling the OP you're sitting eating biscuits rather than commenting on their inconsequential post.

LOL at the boob though!

Who should I write to thank them for saving my life (even though I missed it when they did) The Time Lord or the Head Baker at the Jammy Dodger factory?

I cannot undertand how this passed me by.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 22/09/2010 14:44

All Biscuits are great and whoever dared mention a Fig Roll conseder yourself spanked in a savage manner!

Why is it a Biscuit for no comment couldn't it be a Turd or something? I still really want a Cats Bum face smiley. :*

Suncottage · 22/09/2010 14:46

The no comment should be a raised palm as in 'talk to the hand cos the face ain't listening'

I bloody hate that biscuit.

Summerhols · 22/09/2010 14:57

I thought it was a doughnut Blush

moragsoverhereplease · 22/09/2010 15:08

I think it looks like a flower

highonahill · 22/09/2010 15:11

Summerhols - a doughnut with the jam on the outside??? Hmm

Suncottage · 22/09/2010 15:16

I thought a Jammie Dodger was made with strawberry jam - why do they use plum?

Is there a reason for this?

Its a happy biscuit! Look at it - all yellow and red and sunshiney it brightens my day (until the dunked bit falls into my tea).

We need a more po-faced biscuit.

Cammelia · 22/09/2010 15:21

Biscuit Biscuit
Biscuit Biscuit
Biscuit Biscuit

What does a whole packet mean?

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 22/09/2010 15:35

I love a fig roll and I also dunk many rich teas in my tea.

The most boring, awful biscuit has to be the Hovis bread shaped thing you get in the selection tin thingy at Christmas. Bleurgh!

HecateQueenOfWitches · 22/09/2010 15:36

I think they're lovely with some cheese spread on.

ALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 22/09/2010 15:38

Hecate, I was surprised to see that Morrisons actually sell them in whole packets Shock

AmazingBouncingFerret · 22/09/2010 15:39

Blame Gordon Brown, he should of just answered the bloody question!!

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 22/09/2010 15:40

Am surprised people are asking why MN use a biscuit for no comment...makes me feel like an old timer (preen emoticon) that I know why!
