Phil&Teds have their own spaces now?

WillYouDoTheDamnFanjo · 03/09/2010 15:32

I know, I haven't had one for ages either, there's always some pensioner parked in them

:D

nymphadora · 03/09/2010 15:41

While everyone is donning tin hats & gathering popcorn do you still get passes at the supermarket for them? It's 8 years since I was eligible!

ExitPursuedByABear · 03/09/2010 15:45

Sorry - thought that said G&T parking spaces (off to pour first glass of vino....)

ratspeaker · 03/09/2010 16:09

Yes everyone with PMT should be given plenty of space

MrsMadWriggle · 03/09/2010 16:16

don't have to be right next to the supermarket entrance like disabled ones. < runs for cover >

lolapoppins · 03/09/2010 16:18

Ooooh, I remeber the parking passes too! Didn't tesco used to purple ones? This was 7/8 years ago when ds was a newborn though.

VirginOnTheRidiculous · 03/09/2010 16:22

I've just been to the supermarket and a mother was forced to park in a normal space because a load of inconsiderate 4x4/sports car/tank drivers had parked haphazardly across the p&t spaces. The woman had to walk across the carpark and about 100 yards from the store, her toddler's head rolled clean off.

So there.

piscesmoon · 03/09/2010 16:23

I agree that they need plenty of room to open doors, and it is better not to have to cross the flow of traffic, but there is absolutely no need to have them near the entrance.

youbethemummylion · 03/09/2010 16:30

why can't they just make all spaces bigger then they could accomodate large people, people with kids, people with wheelchairs and people who buy those bloody stupid pick up/4x4 things that they have absolutely no need for and were designed for America where roads/car parks etc are bigger!

Antidote · 03/09/2010 16:37

Sod that, I want pregnant parking spaces. Sooooo struggling to get the bump out the car door when parked next to chelsea tractors.

CokeFan · 03/09/2010 16:38

Why can't we all have p&t spaces and then stay in our cars while the people in the supermarket bring things out to us? Sort of like online shopping but you'd be there so you could also pick what you wanted. I think it would be great if it was raining.

lifeas3plus1 · 03/09/2010 16:40

At 38 weeks pregnant they are coming in very handy at the moment.

Ps: I do also have a toddler so I'm entitled to the space I tell ya. Grin

youbethemummylion · 03/09/2010 16:41

I parked in the baby and toddler spaces when I was the size of a bloody big house pregnant and didn't feel bad about it at all!

swanandduck · 03/09/2010 16:51

What really annoys me is when cheeky pensioners on zimmer frames park in them and leave me to walk the whole way across the car park, carrying a baby and a box of cornflakes. Do they not remember what it was like to be young and healthy? Inconsiderate buggers.

2shoes · 03/09/2010 16:53

VirginOnTheRidiculous

I park in P&T spaces with a teenager.

I also used to do so in a red 3 seater sports car.

If you were ever in Gloucester and heard gun fire, it was mums with prams who were shooting me in outrage.

sapphireblue · 03/09/2010 17:06

actually, I'm going to have a rant here.....

There were no P&T spaces when I went into town today (multistorey) so I parked in a normal space. Got back to the car, clipped DD2's car seat off the travel system frame and couldn't open the car door wide enough to get her in thanks to some tosser inconsiderate man parking a 4x4 badly in the space next to me.

My conclusion? That the fuckers parked in the p&t spaces with no children should all be shot. Even if they are ancient and have a zimmer.

sapphireblue · 03/09/2010 17:07

see.....I'm so annoyed i neglected to add punctuation to my second paragraph.

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/09/2010 17:07

See, sapphire is obviously one of the mums taking pop shots at me with an AK47 Grin

sapphireblue · 03/09/2010 17:09

where do you live getorf?

GetOrfMoiLand · 03/09/2010 17:12

What about a kiddie catapult? We could just sling our toddlers in there and twy could safely sail over all the dangerous cars and pensioners?

Rockbird · 03/09/2010 17:17

I think all the disabled spaces should be moved to inside the doors of the supermarket, freeing up the space outside for oodles of P&T spaces...
