I went to our local tesco express the other day, it's a 5 min walk, but I drove, cos that's that kind of gal I am. Anyway all Parking taken apart from Disabled. So I did the decent thing and parked on the road, only to see on my way in some MUNTER parking there with NO blue badge, just big tacky tracksuit and white trainers.

I wanted to 'ave it out wiv 'er but was actually well to chicken.

I seethed inwardly.

BubbaAndBump · 03/09/2010 19:44

Ooh AppleAndBlackberry I think I may drive to Leclerc next shop - I'm struggling to get out of my car in a normal parking space if without DDs and am only half-way!! Shock (although I'd probably have to stay in the car on the ferry, as I'd defnitely not fit between the cars on the ferry car deck Blush)

whatwhatinthewhatnow · 03/09/2010 19:46

Once, I had to park a whole 300 miles from the store front. All because someone had parked their space ship in the P&T spaces. And then my face exploded.

True story.

BubbaAndBump · 03/09/2010 19:48

rofl :o whatwhat

Tiredmumno1 · 03/09/2010 19:56

Tesco are going to do a trial drive thru at baldock, and they say if it works they will expand to other tescos.

puddlepuss · 03/09/2010 19:56

Blubbing my eyes out at old Home and Away and then read whatwhatinthewhatnow and nearly pmsl. So wrong when Bell is dying.

BubbaAndBump · 03/09/2010 19:57

Belle's dying??? Knew I shouldn't have gone away for the summer! Shock

VirginOnTheRidiculous · 03/09/2010 19:58

OMG whatwhat, exactly the same thing happened to my friend's cousin's neighbour's llama in 93.

whatwhatinthewhatnow · 03/09/2010 19:59

It was a very traumatic year for me. Only the month after I lost my vagina in a freak boating accident.

whatwhatinthewhatnow · 03/09/2010 19:59

*actually told a guy that in a bar once. He beleived me!!!

Rockbird · 03/09/2010 20:00

Nooooo Milly, you get your own carriage. I've thought about this y'know :o

Tiredmumno1 · 03/09/2010 20:01

Belle died ages ago in home and away, but its still sad.

yay cant wait for it to start again, roll on monday

Tiredmumno1 · 03/09/2010 20:03

Anyway who wants to volunteer to try this new drive thru out, then you can tell the rest of us what its like.

puddlepuss · 03/09/2010 20:05

Woohoo! Another H&A fan - everyone I know thinks I should have my plucked off and shoved up my arse for watching it! (Sorry - will not hijack thread Blush

ledkr · 03/09/2010 20:07

Galena..I am also in cheltenham and I agree try to avoid gloucester due to the awful fashions and the lack of parking spaces for mum. Why last time I was there I saw a lady being shot at too.

Tech · 03/09/2010 20:07

Weirdly enough, someone told this P&T-related story the other day which made me giggle, and which she swears is true:

Woman A (the one telling the tale) gets to car park, sees woman B parking in disabled space with no blue badge. A challenges B. B says "well there were no parent and child spaces left." A says "well you don't have a child either." B says "yes I do, just not with me" and walks off affronted into the shop..

Whuh?

Tiredmumno1 · 03/09/2010 20:08

i love it puddle, and neighbours heehee, stuff the haters lol.

apologies for also hi-jacking

strawberrycake · 03/09/2010 20:15

Don't remind me of today. I spent ages bay-parking in a busy supermarket (yes I'm a crap driver) only to discover the cars either side were too close to get the baby seat out (by about an inch). And I used to work there. And the staff I used to work with found it funny....

scotsgirl23 · 03/09/2010 20:39

My local sainsburys have clearly labelled "mother and baby" parking spaces.....apparently men never go to the supermarket with littlies around hereConfused

puddlepuss · 03/09/2010 20:41

Anyone got any diet coke to mix with my vodka? I've just spent the whole of Eastenders trying to work out how mums in Neighbours get their shopping to the car - brown paper bags/buggy/screaming child is not a good combo imo even with a p&t space.

BubbaAndBump · 03/09/2010 21:05

People in Neighbours and Home and Away don't do supermarket shops except for when they secretly use the drive-thru monorail service. The rest they buy from Lou's café or The Diner (particularly lasagne, pies and cakes I've noticed)

Also not highjacking the thread.

Honest.

puddlepuss · 03/09/2010 21:15

Phew! Thanks for that. I'll sleep tonight now. Still no diet coke for my vodka though Sad. (Now picturing secret monorail as black, streamlined and driven by James Bond and wanting one at local supermarket NOW)

2shoes · 03/09/2010 22:10

good grief Belle died years ago,
why do they never finish a drink and go to school half way through the day?

OP posts:
Tiredmumno1 · 03/09/2010 22:35

Lol 2shoes, you hardly ever see them do laundry or use the loo Grin

happyhols · 03/09/2010 22:44

I parked in a p and t space the other day. The last one so only extra space one side. I parked as far over as I could. Yet some idiot parked so close in the normal space necx to me that I couldn't get myself or my ds in car.
I had to leave a note on the car. And don't get me started on disabled spaces.
