They do seem to use those reusable shopping bags on Neighbours now - though they do seem to do most of their shopping at the General Store - not that it looks like you could buy the ingredients for a whole meal there.

I know, and imagine drinking at charlies with the head teacher/laywer/random school kids and a band you have never heard of

However, I am shocked and saddened that no-one has commented positively (or at all, indeed) on my fine idea of simply locking the children in the car over in the far reaches of the car park.

Then when you all get home, they can run with scissors and watch unsuitable movies.

'Tis the childcare of the future, I tell you!

tried that once(all the disable bays were taken up with the PFB brigade(joint ones) dd cried a lot and ds panicked. I only left them for about 4 hours for heaven sake

My dad insists on parking in P&T spaces when he has DS in the car.

He also insists on sitting in the car with DS whilst mum and I do the shopping.

If he wasn't my dad, I'd want to hit him.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 03/09/2010 22:55

Only 4 hours, 2shoes - [shakes head sadly] - children nowadays have sooo little stamina.

2shoes · 03/09/2010 22:55

that must be a man thing, dh thinks we can park in a disabled bay as dd has a badge, which we can of course if she is getting out, not if I am just popping in the shop!!
(disclaimer I am the only driver so I never park in the D or P&T bay unless she is getting out)

I've just come back from Asda. I parked in a P&T space but I didn't have any DC with me. But I DID hav the car seats in the back, so that i okay...innit?

MrsChemist · 03/09/2010 23:08

Someone will have seen you 5inthebed.

You are now on a list somewhere.

Chynah · 03/09/2010 23:16

I quite often take DD (4 months) shopping in my 2 seater sports, park in P&T space - remove DD complete with seat and plonk her in trolley = Sports car in P&T space with no child seat in it. Amazing the abuse I've had shouted at me in supermarket car parks when people see you get in/out of a sports car when child is inside and too small to see:)

mamatomany · 03/09/2010 23:21

"apparently men never go to the supermarket with littlies around here"

Well lets face it, they don't really do they ? Men would rather starve or eat from the chippy for the rest of their lives.

5inthebed · 03/09/2010 23:24

Oooooo a list, don't think I've ever been on anyones list. Grin

SweetGrapes · 03/09/2010 23:25

A few days ago I parked by habit in the P&T space - then realised I didn't actually have any of the kids with me. Had 2 car seats and one preggy belly. Am crap driver and was gone for 15 mnts so didn't move the car.
When I came back I had a cardboard with polite note written on it on my windscreen.
Own up now - which one of you was it?

happyhols · 04/09/2010 19:39

Well you do have a baby on board sweet grapes.

Shaz10 · 04/09/2010 21:26

The one and only time I parked in a P&T space without a child I was about 34 weeks pregnant. I guessed nobody would dare confront me about it! :o

VirginonRidiculous · 05/09/2010 00:19

Erm. Virginon The Ridiculous. Are you my new nemisis?

Pan · 05/09/2010 00:31

Am still campaigning for parking spaces for dogging AND for the fans who turn up to watch the show.

P&T parking FFS - just because some people have chosen to have kids why should the non-breeders have to move over darling??

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 06/09/2010 08:45

Actually, I have decided that life would be far easier if I just had my own personalised parking space at the supermarket.

And someone to push the trolley for me, pack the shopping, bring it home and put it away - like dh, only not expecting sex as a reward!! GrinWink
