... to want to kill my husband for leaving our passports in a cab the night before we fly to a wedding abroad?

I don't think I have ever been as angry with another human being as I am now. I know it was an accident. But there are accidents and accidents. If you have your passports in a bag you make damn sure they are the ONLY thing you keep your hands on in a taxi and you do not get out without them.

This was the biggest and most glam wedding I had ever been invited to; I don't do many social things and had been looking forward to this for weeks and weeks. I know there are more important things in life but it's such an unneccessary mistake and I am so upset right now.

He feels terrible and i want him to. (can't help it) :(

Fantastic Grin. Love these threads

emeraldgirl1 · 02/09/2010 14:04

Oh, and though I'd hate to single out anyone individually for what felt like the most amazing and undeserved group effort, if it hadn't been for phlebas posting about the passport office being more flexible than they claim, I would just have taken them at face value and never gone down there. So phlebas, wherever you are, I hope you know how much I appreciate you taking the time to make that post. :)

Great news! Enjoy yourselves.

And you have ammunition for any time you do something stupid for ooh at least the next 10 years - 'Well, at least I didn't leave the passports in a taxi!'
